NVDA is skyrocketing good lord.
I hate AI slop but I invested before NVDA got huge off AI and I've made 460% gain (kicking myself for not putting in way more).
>>2811466Yeah and I wish I bet on the Seahawks at the Super Bowl, you can’t gamble through life man

They’ll be radicalized against you, not the government lol, you’re making the exact errors Gonzalo made but you’re humble enough not to consider yourself a fifth theoretical head of Marxism
>>2811474the real "crisis" fedlix is looking for will come with the re-proletarianization of the USA after the US's currency hegemony crumbles and the shitty prole jobs we outsoruced to china under nixon all get re-shored.
>>2811469
And deliberately making things worse for everybody and thereby causing the government to start killing them will make the people join up with the guys responsible for making everything worse because…?

>Imagine what would happen if 200 Americans were shot. Or 2000. Or if the government started drone striking apartments like the Zionists do.
depends if the victims are white or black tbqh. which is why any kind of class war has to be based on racial solidarity with honkeys using themselves as human shields to protect everyone else. americans simply won't care unless it's a white or jewish(white) person dying.
>>2811476Not happening, I work in a factory in America right now, these factories are so automated they only bring a dozen jobs instead of the hundreds or thousands like in the history textbooks
>>2811472The hard part is now resisting the urge to put in more.
I really do think the AI slop bubble will pop and Nvidia is right at the center of it. It's just a matter of when.
>>2811480why don't the workers just start actively destroying or at least sabotaging the robots to give themselves job security? i don't get it.
>>2811481generally when these bubbles pop the central players are insulated from the fallout. it'll be peripheral AI startups or companies that don't actually have any tangible products and just "hype" like (hopefully) OpenAI that will explode into bankruptcy. Nvidia will be fine even when the bubble pops.
>>2811482You don’t even need robots, my factory is very primitive and even with equipment from the 50s we pump put hundreds of thousands of pounds of steel a month, you’re never gonna be in a situation where the majority of workers are in manufacturing no matter how much reshoring is done
>>2811485
All classes in America are reactionary, we need to be invaded by China
>>2811487But "fine" could be significantly lower than where it is right now.
idk it's best not to obsess over it I guess, I just check every so often
I find the lack of midwestern milfs disturbing
>>2811492People from the midwest are fat and ugly generally
>>2811488the point isn't to rebuild the manufacturing industry but that as the economy gets more automated workers need to start thinking about their professional future in the face of automation.
my local doctors office replaced all the receptionists with AI kiosks for intake etc. when there's a problem one of the nurses has to come out and fix it which slows down the whole process but because they can save on like, 1 person's salary it's apparently justified to make the nurse work double duty. this is what the "automation" process actually looks like and workers need to stop accepting the extra work to fix the fuckups caused by management trying to cut costs.
>>2811494The milf title already excludes such people
>>2811482>why don't the workers just start actively destroying or at least sabotaging the robots to give themselves job security? i don't get it.this already happened in history, and it didn't work.
<About 1630, a wind-sawmill, erected near London by a Dutchman, succumbed to the excesses of the populace. Even as late as the beginning of the 18th century, sawmills driven by water overcame the opposition of the people, supported as it was by Parliament, only with great difficulty. No sooner had Everet in 1758 erected the first wool-shearing machine that was driven by water-power, than it was set on fire by 100,000 people who had been thrown out of work. Fifty thousand workpeople, who had previously lived by carding wool, petitioned Parliament against Arkwright’s scribbling mills and carding engines. The enormous destruction of machinery that occurred in the English manufacturing districts during the first 15 years of this century, chiefly caused by the employment of the power-loom, and known as the Luddite movement, gave the anti-Jacobin governments of a Sidmouth, a Castlereagh, and the like, a pretext for the most reactionary and forcible measures. It took both time and experience before the workpeople learnt to distinguish between machinery and its employment by capital, and to direct their attacks, not against the material instruments of production, but against the mode in which they are used.https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1867-c1/ch15.htm >>2811485

You spend too much time online.

>>2811485
The situation in America is nothing like South Africa. As you said, the vast majority of Americans are willing and eager collaborators who facilitate imperialism for the love of the game. If some communists start blowing shit up and the government issues a crackdown that sweeps up ordinary people, what do you think is more likely to happen? Are they going to jump into the awaiting arms of the people they see as destroying their way of life? Or are they going to help the government and ignore the occasional civilian collateral damage?
Your "plan" is self defeating
>>2811511>capital has been fighting automation for centuries capital doesn't fight automation, it just destroys surplus commodities in a crisis of overproduction, but uses automation happily to the extent that it can get rid of workers and grow the reserve army of labor. Read Capital. But also read Rajani Palme Dutt Fascism and Social Revolution Chapter 3 Section "The Destruction of the Productive Forces" because he addresses your point without burying Marxism

>>2811480Anon where do I even begin, China and India and other countries America outsourced the jobs to not only pay less than America, but also have higher populations. If you think "only like 12" jobs would come back you are delusional. The prerequisite condition for capital reshoring is the end of US currency hegemony. Which is already crumbling, because the petrodollar scehme is dying. Unless they peg USD to some other globally required commodity it's not coming back. Nixon already had to end the gold standard because countries wanted to get rid of their dollar reserves and redeem it for gold. US currency and military hegemony are both what hold together US exorbitant privilege in trade. If those collapsed, which it seems like they are going to, Nobody will work for Americans when their dollar is garbage. We will experience weimar style hyperinflation. >>28115294% inflation last month alone but essential goods are more like a 10% inflation, capitalist tricknology "the TVs are cheaper now so inflation isn't so bad!" is why it's even 4% on average
this summer is gonna make 2020 look like a joke, you know how no american can afford an emergency? do you think any business can withstand sustained loss in a service driven economy? what happens when gas is $6 a gallon and people simply cannot afford to go out to eat, to go to work even? rapid economic collapse which is fine if you're at the very top and can then buy up all these closed businesses, evicted rentals, etc wholesale at a deep discount
been seeing a lot of people pushing cars at red lights lately, why? because they are running out of gas. my friend has an hour commute because that's how America is built. She drives an Accord and even still her gas cost has effectively doubled and it will almost certainly double again. She works in an office, all of the restaurants and shit rely on that type of worker going to lunch, getting food on the way home, etc. What happens to the resturant workers who are making $10-14 an hour here when a gallon of gas hits $6 and no one is coming to spend money or tip?
we are just at the dicktip of the curve baby
>>2811531
You are not fucking Vladimir Lenin and none of us has anywhere close to the influence of Karl Kautsky, holy shit you have a crippling delusion of self importance

>>2811525the readers added context has me rolling. like elon musk has more dollars than SECONDS he has been alive. not days, not hours, not minutes, SECONDS. do they really think a person can "earn" a dollar every second through their "work?" these people seem to believe in a labor theory of value, but only for capitalists. for workers, they seem to have a subjective theory of value.
>>2811551Adding fuel this fire is Trump openly stating the other day he doesn't give a shit about what happens to the people.

>>2811544ooooooooh that guy. he posts the weird pictures of himself with the snow in his beard that looks like jizz and he says he eats 5000 calories to maintain his weight. I told him to get checked for cancer.
>>2811575
You're just restating your thesis again while ignoring the counterarguments, you're a narcissist who's not worth anybody's time
>>2811303Bit late to respond to this, I worked a morning shift and got only 3 hours of sleep, but I think the only way Trump gets canonized is if he's assassinated. Then he can be absolved of
everything and his fans can cope by saying if he just finished his term then we would've seen everything work out.
If Trump finishes his term or gets impeached, then he goes down as an idiot whose incompetence wrecked the country.
Reagan could be canonized by the GOP because, well, say what you will but he was great for capitalists. He had an obvious "win" in that the USSR began to rapidly implode under Gorbachev (I've seen way too many people attribute Reagan's "Tear Down This Wall!" speech to the cause of the Berlin wall falling) and gave the appearance of ending stagflation.
Trump's caused inflation to skyrocket, he's exploded the deficit, his trade policies are simultaneously destroying small businesses while enriching a cabal of insiders who are trading off whatever retarded decision he announces. And all of this is blasted publicly thanks to social media.
What'll be really fascinating is if the post-Trump GOP is unable to move on from him. Like McCain's campaign was trying to pretend it wasn't associated with Bush, I don't know that any Republican can pretend to be separate from Trump at this point.
Felix will be be turned into glue
>>2811575
>It's pretty fitting that you NEETs have such utter contempt for an exploited worker.
i don't have contempt for him, I think it's unwise to dox yourself on here, and if you have to eat 5000 calories to maintain your weight, you might have cancer, no matter how hard you work, that is like 2000 more calories than an ice age hunter gatherer ate daily
>>2811582They'll canonize him regardless I think, or at least try to. The Republican Party IS Trump and his cult of personality at this point, no separating the two without the destruction of the Republican Party itself. It's like Peron but somehow even more unhinged and delusional because Peron at least improved people's quality of life while Trump is just making everything worse for everyone in the most comically obvious way possible but we're just supposed to pretend that it's good actually
Realistically, the only way Trump won't finish his term is if he died of a heart attack or from some other health issue
>>2811590
they "worked" less but they basically had to walk nonstop. not even olympic athletes need 5k calories a day. you're missing my point that I was warning that guy he might have cancer. not even at my worst manual labor jobs working 12+ hours a day when my metabolish was at its best in my 20s did I need 5000 calories a day. and I'm not some stunted dwarf. When he told me that it rang an alarm bell . That's potentially cancer. he said he was drinking and smoking every day too. NOT GOOD! you say I have "no empathy for an explotied worker" while i warn him about his health. maybe you're just an idiot who is missing the point on purpose?
>>2811575

>>2811597yep he's missing my point on purpose…
>>2811516Illiterate retard spotted
Read Marx and ditch the other retard
>>2811609can you say where I was wrong? you can't. I have read Capital. I am literally telling you what Capital says. Rajani Palme Dutt pretty much agrees with Capital, but his section on the destruction of the productive forces is important because he was writing in the 1930s when the US government was literally paying farmers to destroy crops and let fields lie fallow, the Brazilian government was burning billions of dollars of coffee, the British government was destroying livestock without butchering or selling the meat. They were all doing this because during a crisis of overproduction, the capitalists destroy surplus commodities to stabilize the prices. They can't simply give them away because that will decrease demand. They want to raise the price without decreasing the demand. So they destroy the supply. But they like automation because it allows them to grow the reserve army of labor and depress wages. Not a single word I've said has been wrong. It was true in Marx's time and it is true now you are just doing that leftypol BULLSHIT where you say I am wrong without elaborating or quoting.

I know this mostly falls into the prepper genre but I imagine things will hit the fan fairly quick and there won't be much time to prepare. >The illegal transfer of plans for the Lavi aircraft from Tel Aviv to Beijing first became known by the Pentagon when an American surveillance satellite orbiting over China spotted several new fighter planes on the runway of a Chinese air base traditionally used for the test and evaluation of prototype aircraft. Imagery experts at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) created rough sketches of the jet, then processed the graphic data through high-speed supercomputers in order to obtain three-dimensional representations of the prototype Chinese fighter planes.
>CIA officials specializing in aviation technology were stunned at the 3-D images generated by the computers. >>2811841>counterterrorism czar Sebastian Gorkahttps://www.kenklippenstein.com/p/new-counterterror-strategy-eyes-tucker<Let’s be real: none of this is actually about extremism. It’s about the fact that Carlson, like Fuentes, recently broke with Trump — bitterly — over the Iran War. That's the real offense. So now they’re being cast as extremist threats. But to avoid alarming conservatives, the administration can't just say that — it has to first strip them of their conservative credentials, redefine them as something foreign-affiliated and dangerous, and then go after them."You aren't a real conservative if you don't cheer the finance pedo cabal of Jeffrey Epstein Zionists who have raped countless thousands of your neighbors" Literally the only thing conservatives care about is avoiding being cucked by globalists lol
<You don’t have to like Carlson or Fuentes (who says things like “I love Hitler” and is easy not to like) in order to see that. Consider, for a moment, the rhetoric that likely fueled Gorka’s freakout.<Carlson has called Trump’s Iran war “the single biggest mistake Trump, or any American president, has made in my lifetime.” He has slammed the strikes as “reprehensible and immoral,” insisting the war “doesn’t serve American interests in any conceivable way” and suggesting it happened “at the behest and then the demand of Israel.”<…that’s the substance Gorka is trying to launder out of the “conservative movement” by redefining Carlson and Fuentes as something else: in Carlson’s case, a Sharia fan."Islam thinks your daughters should not be sex slaves traded in the free market" yet another thing conservatives define their entire ideology around avoiding
<At this point you might be wondering why none of this has been reported — a question big mouth Gorka answers in an interview with actor-turned-media commentator Dean Caine about the National Counterterrorism Strategy. Gorka beams about how little negative coverage the media have given the Strategy, calling it “delicious.” literally the entire Zionist media has collaborated with the psyop that Americans are Hamas terrorists. >You literally don't even understand what a peasant is. A peasant owns enough land to support themselves through their own labor
No that's a smallholder, freeholder, or yeoman. Strictly speaking "peasant" isn't really a class category since its often used to refer to freeholders who own their own property, tenant farmers who rent it, and serfs who are tied to the land.
>Despite these offsetting forces, there are several reasons why the 4IR could substantially increase inequality. Most fundamentally, the more that new technology substitutes for labour rather than complements it, the more that the gains would accrue to the owners of capital. An unequal distribution of capital means that the higher returns to capital from increasing automation will push up inequality. Second, during the transition as new technologies are adopted, what economists euphemistically call frictions can lead to depressed local labour markets or boost inequality in national ones. Third, if education is unable to keep pace with the changing demand for skills, those who already have them will earn even higher premiums, and job polarisation will increase the supply of labour competing for lower-skilled jobs.
>Finally, greater global interconnectedness will reinforce these dynamics. If this world of surplus labour comes to pass, Marx and Engels could again become relevant.

I didn't utter the word democracy, advocate liberalism, or even advocate social democracy. I just looked at a key difference between the US and Chinese public. You say they "don't exist" but the objective fact of the matter is asymmetrical development is a law, nations do still exist even if they are social constructs that we can anticipate will eventually be completely dissolved by capital. That process is still not complete even 143 years after Marx's death. So we have to use our brains. For our criticism of bourgeois nationalism to be strong and based in reality, we have to look at competing trends within bourgeois nationalism, and right now the Chinese Public, who do in fact exist, have a stronger trust in their government, than US citizens. You can say their government is not really socialist. I think time will answer that question one way or another even if the coin has landed on its side right now. But the point is they are mentally in a space that the USA was back in the middle of the last century, when "our" (yes, yes, nationalism is a social construct, no need to beat people over the head with such an obvious insight) public was in a similar space mentally. Meanwhile our trust has degenerated. We are approaching a potentially revolutionary moment, even if it takes longer than we would like it to.

And? What's your point exactly? Germany wasn't a threat to the world until they started attacking other countries. The Holocaust wasn't even publicly known until very late into the war. Most people thought of Germany as just another ultranationalist European ethnostate. It made sense at the time to not attack Germany until they attacked first because there was always a chance Hitler would randomly die and his replacement would have different priorities, creating a diplomatic opportunity.
The US is a bigger threat to the world than Nazi Germany ever was but China still isn't going to risk their position without the same kind of international coalition you describe, which currently does not exist. If you want China to engage in this kind of anti-imperialist diplomacy the least you could do is create a domestic resistance that might entice the international community to back you rather than expend their own troops fighting on foreign soil.

America could destroy its government overnight and shift to a Socialist model and the average American would barely notice outside the improved quality of life.
>>2812375Being a seen as an edgelord gives you at least a modest amount of clout and both on a personal and political level that gives you at least some advantages. Even if you're not that muscular, you can still pull ass if people think you are a tough guy even though you're not. That is probably why mongs like Andrew Tate and Sam Hyde are taking a backseat to Asmongold, critical drinker and the like. Actually having beefy and muscular or otherwise tough guy looking people on your side is a catch 22. You want relatability but you also want aesthetic power. If you can just use the natural "Aura" that your side has for mancard clout than you can get away with looking like a schlub but if your side doesn't have mancard clout and edgelord aura then you actualy have to lift weights. Left-wing men in particular are seen as wusses so you kind of need to be muscular or openly into edgy material to have the same effect that chuds naturally have.

I think you're misinterpreting my point. Socialism in America would be a restructuring of the American state towards domestic wealth development/poverty reduction programs, labor programs, climate change management, sustainable development, etc and a shift away from foreign intervention/imperialism. This would increase the quality of life for the average American but it would not change the average American's life of waking up, going to the grocery store, going to work, having weekend barbecues with their neighbors, watching shitty tv shows on their tablet, jacking off to hentai, going to church, etc.
Meanwhile an anti-imperialist Israel would be akin to changing Israel from a Jewish state to a Palestinian state. They would no longer have gay nightclubs in Tel Aviv. They would no longer have their baby genital suction rituals. They would no longer have spitting on Christians as a national sport. They would likely become another majority-Muslim state within months of toppling the Israeli state. How many Jews would continue living in Israel if it were no longer a Jewish state? Probably not many. How many Americans would continue living in America if it were a Socialist state? Probably 95%. Even the formerly-bourgeois would rather stay in America for cultural and family reasons, outside the ultra-ultra rich that have always been stateless parasites.
>>2812385>The Petty Bourgeoisie vacillates between the proletarian and the bourgeoisieAnd yet peasants played a larger role than workers in pretty much every socialist revolution of the 20th century except Russia, and even there they played a major role. China, Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, etc. were all peasant majority countries, where peasants formed the backbone of the movement and the revolutionary armies. If peasants are petty bourgeois, then that makes the petty bourgeoisie a truly revolutionary class.
>This is Marxism 101, you would know this if you had read any books besides "How to Murder Afghan Babies: A NATO Soldat Guide"Well I have read The 18th Brumaire, where Marx talks extensively about the French peasantry. Let's see what he has to say:
<The small-holding peasants form an enormous mass whose members live in similar conditions but without entering into manifold relations with each other. Their mode of production isolates them from one another instead of bringing them into mutual intercourse. The isolation is furthered by France‘s poor means of communication and the poverty of the peasants. Their field of production, the small holding, permits no division of labor in its cultivation, no application of science, and therefore no multifariousness of development, no diversity of talent, no wealth of social relationships. Each individual peasant family is almost self-sufficient, directly produces most of its consumer needs, and thus acquires its means of life more through an exchange with nature than in intercourse with society. A small holding, the peasant and his family; beside it another small holding, another peasant and another family. A few score of these constitute a village, and a few score villages constitute a department. Thus the great mass of the French nation is formed by the simple addition of homologous magnitudes, much as potatoes in a sack form a sack of potatoes. Insofar as millions of families live under conditions of existence that separate their mode of life, their interests, and their culture from those of the other classes, and put them in hostile opposition to the latter, they form a class. Insofar as there is merely a local interconnection among these small-holding peasants, and the identity of their interests forms no community, no national bond, and no political organization among them, they do not constitute a class. So, a few things to note here. First, Marx specifies that he's talking about the smallholding peasants. Why? Because "peasant" isn't strictly speaking a class category, but a general term for rural farmers. It's used at various times to refer to smallholders who own their own land, tenant farmers who pay rent to a landowner in cash or kind (but are otherwise free), and serfs who are tied to the land. These are all separate class categories subsumed under the generalization of "peasant." He goes on to elaborate on the mode of life of the smallholder, noting that they for the most part are self sufficient, and provide for their needs through "exchange with nature rather than intercourse with society." Therefore, they do not derive the bulk of their livelihood from the sale of commodities, which is the defining characteristic of the bourgeoisie. Finally, he notes that in some ways even the smallholders do not constitute a class at all, at least insofar as their mode of life prevents the development of class consciousness and their ability to act as an independent bloc. However this is more a commentary on their ability to form a class for themselves rather than in themselves. At any rate, its clear from Marx's writing on them that he holds the following views:
- Peasants and smallholders are not equivalent, otherwise there would be no need to specify "smallholding peasants." Landless peasants are a thing and obviously can't be bourgeois in any sense since they own no property.
- The smallholders do not derive their bulk of their subsistence from the sale of commodities, but produce it themselves for their own consumption.
- Even the smallholders themselves do not necessarily constitute a class, or at the very least are incapable of acting as one.
All of this, combined with the nonsensical conclusions we would need to draw from the history of 20th socialist revolutions, strongly indicate that the peasantry (and even the smallholder) ought not to be considered bourgeois, petty or otherwise. Of course things are different today with industrial corporate agriculture, but then again the peasantry are arguably extinct in the West.

>and have repeatedly said that anyone who opposes his "service" as a proud, totally unrepentant murderer for capital is a moralist
That's because it's true. Like, wtf does it even mean to "oppose his service"? Seething about a person's past actions regardless of whether their views have changed and whether they can be an asset is the definition of moralism. It's saying you object to their past actions, and this moral objection is more important than anything else. If an ex-soldier develops revolutionary consciousness and decides to put their skills and insider knowledge at the disposal of the worker's movement, then there is no reason to reject them other than moralism. The only thing that matters is whether they are an asset. Additionally, conducting agitation and infiltration in the military was a mandatory prerequisite for a party to be a member of the Third Internationale. The Comintern even published manuals on how to recruit soldiers in bourgeois militaries. Of course Platner isn't a revolutionary, he's a social democrat who will be eaten by the DNC blob and spat out as a new AOC or Fetterman, so I'll once again reiterate my opposition to him. But frankly his being a Democrat is worse than his being a veteran.

The days of jerking off circumcized Israeli cock and proclaiming Israel as our greatest ally and the only democracy in the Middle East are over - at least for everyone except the most brainwashed lead-addled boomers. Young people are not buying that shit. They know Israel is evil.
So what's an Israel shill to do? Deflect, deflect, deflect. Focus on Israel's enemies and critics, not Israel itself. Muddy the waters to the point where the average person believes
<well they're all corrupt and evil so it doesn't matter, might as well do nothingThe status quo - where Israel massively benefits.
How does this appear in practice?
<those politicians who openly criticize Israel and the Zionist lobby? they're actually evil Zionists, don't support them, not even critical support over actual unapologetic Zionists<those countries who oppose Israel? they're all evil imperialist bourgeois entities, don't critically support them eitherIf you recognize this pattern it's because it's literally happening on here. They're not creative, they don't need an excuse, they just spam.
Am I saying there's a paid IDF shill campaign on here? Yes, yes I am. You can pay third-worlders to spam IDF propaganda for pennies (that's still higher than the average wage in their country). https://www.gofundme.com/f/standing-with-josh-and-family-after-the-shootinghttps://houdinimagazine.com/articles/2026-05-14-disabled-veteran-shot-by-right-wing-streamerJosh is a disabled veteran, a man who has already given his body and his years in service to his country, only to be cut down on home soil by a bullet fueled by the very racialized hatred that the right now cultivates as a business model. This is a digital lynching. Chud the Builder explicitly stated across multiple X posts that he wanted to shoot someone, that the goal of his bigoted, grotesque streams was to provoke a reaction and kill a Black person without legal consequence.
A family victimized by a man with a vendetta for hatred, a man who has built his entire platform and content off the currency of bigotry. This disabled veteran was shot twice in the stomach and once in the shoulder, and we must name it for what it is: a digital lynching carried out for an audience. The streamer, whom we’ve already covered, has raked in over $100,000 off this bloodshed. It is sickening to see how normalized racial hatred has become, how it is algorithmically boosted and monetized.
We have to ask: who is paying for this content? Who is platforming men like this? Who is shielding these men from consequence while their venom turns into lead and tears through the flesh of a working-class hero? This is a working-class man whose life has been changed forever by a paid court jester of the rich, a performer who has turned hate into profit and bigotry into a substitute for community. This is the world the right wants—a world where a disabled veteran can be hunted for sport online and discarded. Our dollars are soaked in the sweat of our toil, and we will use them to show solidarity for Josh and his family.
The family is now asking for support in this devastating time. It will take many months for these gunshot wounds to heal. These are life-altering injuries, scarring both body and soul. So if you can, please give. Please share. Please show your unwavering solidarity for this family, and let them know, and let the rest of our society know, that we will not stand for this hatred any longer. We meet this cruelty with solidarity

No, he just failed to anticipate that capitalist societies would develop modern equivalents of managing it, the same way feudal and slave owning societies managed their class struggles through various means (feast days, manumission, debt jubilees, bread and circuses, etc). The difference between capitalism and those others is that it is incapable of resting on its laurels once it finds an arrangement that works such as social democracy. Instead it constantly undermines itself and eats away at its own mechanisms of stability and success. The capitalist epoch can roughly be divided into three eras. In the first, bourgeois society had simply not developed the means to handle the new social contractions that came along with capitalism. The superstructure had fully not caught up to the base and didnt really do so until the 1950s in the West and the 1990s in the rest of the world. This was the real cause of the revolutionary waves of the 19th and 20th centuries, and it why it lasted longer in the third world than in the first giving the false impression that imperialism was the ultimate cause. The second era was the discovery and implementation of mechanisms of class rule and conflict management appropriate to capitalism, the social democratic era. This essentially killed revolutionary socialism dead because it effectively managed class conflict. The third era began in the 90s in the West, and was the self-sabotage of those mechanisms by the ruling class (the neoliberal era) to satisfy the demands for profit, and its still too early to say what the ultimate consequences will be. What you are bemoaning as the cause not moving forward is mostly explained by the second period taking up the bulk of the last 100 years.
>>2812939
Just as capitalists have become international as capitalism has become entrenched and integrated into the world stage, so too have the proletariat become international. This is why “socialism in one country/state/city/whatever” is impossible, and why the defeat of capitalism will proceed along the broad fault lines that it itself engenders.

If workers had literally no basis for unity then change is impossible and we should all become apathetic hedonists or kill ourselves before capitalism makes civilization uninhabitable. But that isn’t true.

you know what they say about ignorance being bliss right? fuck they were so right. my first introduction to politics was the 2016 election, and I largely believed in social Democratic policies for some time, but I was like fucking 13 when I went down the capitalist rabbit hole of imperialism, death and destruction, and its all I can think about now. from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep. not to mention with the internet, you can experience these truths like never before. you can get livestreamed footage of a genocide, and must watch in horror as no one does anything. I've become so desensitized to everything holy shit. every now and then I think to myself that deep down, I'm no longer sure if I truly want communism or socialism or any kind of political change, but rather I just want to be happy of my own accord. I cant live a normal life because everything feels so insignificantly futile compared to the grand scheme of things, and I feel such guilt to be so privileged compared to the third world. what has been the point of learning all this and carrying this burden if i'm probably not even gonna act up on it on account of the lack of a proper movement around me/just the nature of how hard and impossible it is to truly carry out a revolution?? i've just subjected myself to live with these horrors, and it will most likely not endup serving a purpose. maybe some of you will call out larp, or maybe some other will call me a pussy for not taking action myself, but I stand by my feelings
>>2813002>you know what they say about ignorance being bliss right?it's only bliss if you are in a position where you can ignore material contradictions. that's why the dude from the matrix was like "i wanna be rich" like no shit dude, if you were plugged back into the matrix as a destitute homeless guy no doubt you would have swallowed the red (lol) pill all over again

and yeah the other point would be that I am acknowledging that I am in a place where I can be comfortable and ignore those materialist contradictions. my family is largely lower middle or middle income class (in accordance with the American class system that is, not the marxist one), but living in the us means my life is a million times better than at least 5 billion people combined. that's why I said I feel that guilt, because I'm in a position of privilege
>>2813007i don't think that's a good enough position to ignore stuff, and lots of middle and lower class people in the US have been pretty much forced into thinking about the third world as neoliberalism is reaching a breaking point and the place where the crisis begins to unravel is precisely on the periphery.

Now that China has chosen to peacefully exploit the world in tandem with the US ruling class, which country should I kkkritikkkally suppoooort?
>>2813029Unless I'm misremembering actually at no point does Goku fight to protect anyone except his friends. In fact 99% of Dragonball Z is Goku fighting because he enjoys fighting strong opponents or because someone killed/attacked his friends. Like didn't he literally let Majin Buu come to life just because he wanted to see how strong it really was? And then indirectly got hundreds of planets destroyed because of it including Earth.
In contrast Luffy is an actual anti-imperialist liberator that is fighting against the World Government and the World Nobles, albeit not intentionally but just because he doesn't like to directly see injustice or people having their freedom taken from them. One Piece is framed pretty directly as a show about liberation and freedom with the main villain being the king of the world backed up by the world military, and the secondary villain being blackbeard who liberates things through a "survival of the fittest" mentality and destroying/taking whatever he wants.
Not saying one is better but I feel like One Piece works better as a anti-imperialist image. Goku literally does not give a fuck about royalty or politics or even freeing slaves.
Just…ignore everything about Sanji and his character arc. >>2813036

The purposeful destruction of commodities for economic reasons is in itself nothing new in capitalism, but an integral part of its daily working from the beginning. It was in 1799 that Fourier first became convinced of the necessity of a new form of social organisation when he found himself entrusted with the task at Marseilles to superintend the destruction of a quantity of rice held for higher prices during a scarcity of food till it had become unfit for use. Nevertheless, this rice had at any rate been held back in the hope of sale, and was only destroyed because it had become unfit for use. This was not yet the modern principle of the wholesale destruction of good rice, good wheat, good cotton, good coffee and good meat.
It is a tragic irony that men and women in New York should be suffering the tortures of hunger while tens of thousands of pigs in farrow are being slaughtered in Iowa by the command of the Gov- ernment, and farmers in Kansas or Nebraska are burning their grain. (News-Chronicle, October 17, 1933.)
From Denmark it was reported in November 1933 that cattle were being slaughtered in the Government abattoirs at the rate of 5,000 a week, for the carcasses to be burnt in the incinerators. The Government established a special destruction fund; but so great was the cost of destruction that Parliament had to be approached for further credits for the construction of new slaughter houses.
This was under a Social Democratic Government (!!!).n the same way the British Labour Government had already carried the Coal Mines Act for the limitation of the output of coal——with such success that in the beginning of 1934 a London firm actually ordered a consignment of coal from abroad, on the grounds, as they stated, that owing to the limitation schemes it was impossible to secure a delivery from British sources with sufficient speed.
In Britain in 1930 the company “National Shipbuilders Security, Limited” was formed, with power to borrow up to three million pounds, for the purpose (according to the Memorandum of Association) “to assist the shipbuilding industry by the purchase of redundant and/or obsolete ship- yards, the dismantling and disposal of their contents, and the re-sale of their sites under restrictions against further use for shipbuilding.” Within a few months its successful activities were reported in the Press:
National Shipbuilders Security, Limited, has purchased Dalmuir Shipbuilding Yard, owned by William Beardmore and Co., and in consequence it is to be closed down by the end of the year. This shipyard was one of the largest on the Clyde, employing six thousand men during the war. Negotiations for the purchase and closing down of other shipyards are in progress.
Up to the end of 1933 this new type of capitalist company had bought up and closed down one hundred shipbuilding berths. In the twelve months to June 1933, the world tonnage of merchant shipping showed a net decrease of 1,814,000 tons, more than half this decrease being in tonnage owned by Britain.
Similarly, in the woollen textile industry the Woolcombers Mutual Association, Limited, was formed early in 1933 “to assist the woolcombing industry by the purchase and dis- mantling of redundant and obsolete mills, plant and machinery for re-sale under restrictive covenants against their further use for woolcombing.”
The principal copper producers of the world entered into an agreement at Brussels in December 1931, to limit production during 1932 to 26 per cent. of the capacity of their mines.
The National Coffee Council of Brazil, from which country comes two-thirds of the world’s coffee, decided in December 1931 to destroy twelve million bags of coffee. During 1932-3 9,600,000 quintals (equivalent to 1,248 million pounds weight) were destroyed, an emergency tax being imposed on coffee exports to finance the purchase and destruction of surplus coffee (League of Nations World Production and Prices 1925-32, p. 28). Up to the end of 1933 no less than 22,000,000 bags of coffee had been disposed of by burning or dumping in the sea.
The Governors of Texas and Oklahoma called out the National Guard to take possession of the oil-wells and prevent production.
The United States Department of Agriculture in the summer of 1933 announced bounties of seven to twenty dollars per acre to farmers for the destruction of the cotton crop. This was successful in securing the ploughing in or mowing down of 11 million acres out of a total of 40 millions:
The Government hoped to take ten million acres out of production by paying growers $7 to $20 per acre (according to the yield of their land) for ploughing under or mowing down cotton already growing. . . . The scheme was immediately successful in restricting acreage, over 11 million acres being ploughed in or mown down, reducing the estimated acreage from 40.8 to 29.7 million acres. (World Economic Survey 1932-3, pp. 313-4.)*
To the modern bourgeois mind and outlook this process of wholesale destruction and restricting of production, in the midst of poverty, appears as a natural and self-evident necessity. Without sense of contradiction they proclaim it in the same breath that they proclaim the necessity of “economy” and “cuts” to the masses; and correctly they feel no contradiction, since both are indispensable to the maintenance of capitalism at the present stage. They preach to-day the policy of restric- tion of production with the same sense of obvious correctness and common sense with which they preached after the war the policy of “increased production” as the path to prosperity. Thus in the summer of 1933 we find the British Chancellor of the Exchequer answering the “theorists” who imagine restric- tion of production to be “a bad thing”:

>>2813999>performing ecstatic, bloody rituals to their dark gods … It might be one of the most negative portrayals of the vikings I have seen in film.Lol yeah, which is what makes it interesting. I liked the concept that the gods are real in this world. Not that they were actually real IRL but in terms of ideology, it was almost impossible for people in the early Middle Ages to not believe in God or gods, angels, demons, witches, relics, and sacred places, and that had an effect on how these people acted in the world. I think leftists can really make the best historical films about the past because they can be truly critical of it, but it's through criticism that you can also appreciate it.

Clearly they would rather keep losing to the GOP than allow these people to make even the mildest inroads into the upper echelons. Hopefully that gives the DSA the wake up call they need to break with the Democrats entirely. Both the KPD and the Bolsheviks emerged from earlier social democratic movements with reformist, revisionist, and social-imperialist tendencies. I get you like to LARP like it's the 1930s, but the fact is we aren't living in the era of a mature communist movement and imminent revolution. We're starting basically from square one. that doesn't matter. torture doesn't have any utility other than satisfying the sadistic lust of people doing it, and producing false "evidence" through coerced confessions, and unreliable intel. just because fascists do it doesn't make it based and good when we do it back. by that logic the point of communism is simply to reverse every vector of oppression and exploitation rather than nullify it. Is the goal of communist to turn proles into capitalists and capitalists into proles? No. Neither is it to turn the tortured into torturers.

>Scouting and clearing routes before you move down them is nothing all that difficult to figure out
A track plan is a designated route for entering and leaving the patrol base. The two main purposes are to minimize the visibility of foot traffic from the air, and so that your sentries know from what direction to expect friendlies to enter and leave the base. Congrats, you got shot by your own buddies because you went to take a piss at night and didn't follow a track plan when coming back.
