There's another issue I have generally with this and that is how something like Kursk is denounced as a useless PR stunt, but then you look at the Donbas and its not clear to me what they're exactly achieving.
I get why the AFU tries to capture global media attention so they get more givas to continue the war, but who the fuck in Russia cares about the outhouse at the edge of Stinky? I don't get the impression from my friends or (other) Russians online that they care much about all this territorial "progress" at all. Capturing Kharkiv or Kyiv might change things proper, but there's not nothing left of many of these Donbas settlements anyway.
There's so much pressure on commanders to show "somethings happening" to pundit fluffers who can then show their war voyeur audience that there's progress and something's happening and everyone's stiffies are maintained for a little longer, that people don't take a moment to pause and consider what it all means. Which is not much at all.

I can't speak for you Euros, but as an American my opinion on this conflict is I don't give a fuck and none of this is any of my business and I wish to not be involved like any of the other numerous conflicts around the world my country is not involved in to this extent. It seems to me this conflict was completely fabricated by America as they often are, but for some reason Euros are obsessed with this. I don't get it.
