Islamic Resistance™️ in Iraq edition
>The first day of the funeral procession for the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who died alongside family members at the beginning of the US-Israel war on Iran, has come to a close.
<UK and French leaders issued a joint statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as “a vital artery for the global economy” and stressing that “restoring safe transit for ships of all nations through the strait is a matter of global concern”.
>Tehran pledged to deploy every available judicial and diplomatic channel to challenge what the Iranian president characterised as unlawful acts perpetrated against the country by the US and Israel.
<Israeli settlers stepped up their incursions and land seizures across the occupied West Bank, launching assaults that involved taking over or destroying Palestinian homes and vandalising critical infrastructure, including water springs, power lines and greenhouses.
>The Israeli military announced that it targeted approximately 10 “Hezbollah infrastructure sites” across southern Lebanon.
<Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held talks with US President Donald Trump, and the two leaders agreed to hold a meeting in the United States. According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), upwards of 640,000 displaced individuals in Lebanon have gone back to their homes following a US-Tehran agreement signed last month that incorporated a ceasefire in Lebanon.
>Yemen’s Houthis warned they will target Saudi Arabian airports and critical infrastructure if Riyadh breaches their airspace or launches an attack, following accusations by the Iran-backed group that the kingdom committed an airspace violation.

Ongoing regional attacks ‘a clear message’ from Iran to USWhile some diplomacy is taking place with Iran’s interior minister in Pakistan and the US and Iran confirming closed door negotiations are taking place, the reality is attacks are taking place on all sides.
Sirens are again being heard in Bahrain while Kuwait is warning citizens to seek shelter as soon as possible.
While there have been interceptions of Iranian projectiles, there has also been ground impacts with severe damage inflicted over the last four days on Kuwait’s infrastructure – water desalination plants and power plants.
All of this is a clear message from Iran that while it will maintain pathways to dialogue, it will also maintain military pressure on what it sees as US assets in the region, even if it means attacking the sovereign territory of Arab neighbours.
So is this a strategy to have favourable terms at the negotiating table? Or does it suggest Iran doesn’t really believe a negotiated settlement is possible at the moment? What we are seeing practically is the consequences of the US-Israel war on Iran being faced by the GCC countries and Arab nations in the region.

https://militarywatchmagazine.com/article/ui-aircraft-heavy-losses-iran-strikes-basesU.S. Aircraft Take Heavy Losses as Iran Strikes Key Bases Across the Middle East
>Iranian missile strikes against U.S. military facilities in Jordan, launched in response to U.S. attacks, have caused considerable damage. The New York Times, citing an assessment based on satellite imagery, verified videos, and official statements, reported that a significant number of UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters were damaged. The reported losses add to growing evidence that Iran’s retaliatory strikes achieved considerably greater effects against U.S. military infrastructure than initially acknowledged. The Black Hawks were among numerous aircraft and military assets stationed at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base and other facilities in Jordan that came under repeated ballistic missile and drone attacks. Recent attacks on the base also resulted in the deaths of two U.S. service members and left another missing, underscoring that Jordan has become one of the principal fronts in the widening regional conflict. These casualty figures do not account for the deaths of contractors, who play central roles at all major frontline facilities including in many cases in combat.
>Although the exact number of helicopters affected has not been officially disclosed, damage to multiple UH-60s represents a potentially important operational setback. The Black Hawk serves as the U.S. Army’s primary utility helicopter, carrying out troop transport, casualty evacuation, special operations support, logistics, and command-and-control missions. Unlike fixed-wing combat aircraft, helicopters parked on forward operating bases are often difficult to disperse during periods of sustained missile attack. Their large rotor systems, exposed fuel tanks, and limited hardened shelter availability make them particularly vulnerable to fragmentation from ballistic missile warheads or nearby impacts.
>According to assessments compiled from satellite imagery and open-source evidence, Iranian missile attacks have damaged at least 17 U.S.-associated military sites, including 11 American military installations, with radar systems, communications infrastructure, aircraft parking areas, and logistics facilities among the primary targets. The Black Hawk damage in Jordan is only one component of wider aviation losses sustained during the conflict. Open-source reporting and official statements have documented the destruction or damage of MQ-9 Reaper drones, transport aircraft, helicopters, aerial tankers, and airborne warning aircraft across several bases. These included the reported destruction of at least one F-15E fighter on July 19. The U.S. Armed Forces have sought to minimise losses by dispersing aircraft away from major facilities. https://aje.news/gcmk7h?update=4794222IRGC says it destroyed radar systems in KuwaitIran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has “decommissioned” an early warning radar and a tactical radar complex around the Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait, and another radar system on the country’s Bubiyan Island.
It said that its attacks have succeeded in “destroying” the radar systems and putting them out of action.
“The operation to punish the aggressor continues,” it added.

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/iranian-forces-target-bahrain-kuwait-after-us-hits-irans-south-2026-07-21/ Iranian Army: New anti-aircraft equipment introduced into combat systemThe spokesman for the Iranian army, Brigadier General Akbar Mirinia, announced the introduction of new anti-aircraft equipment into the combat system and the rehabilitation of systems damaged in the previous war.
He stressed that the new equipment has greatly enhanced Iran's air defense capabilities, so that "enemy aircraft are now dealt with much more forcefully."
In this context, the Iranian Army's Public Relations Office announced yesterday that the Army's ground forces targeted the US Army's HIMARS systems stationed at the Arifjan base in Kuwait with surface-to-surface missiles, as part of the 18th phase of Operation Thunderbolt.
The United States renewed its aggression against Iran, with attacks concentrated on the southern regions, which prompted Iranian responses with operations targeting several American bases in the Gulf, Syria and Jordan.
Tehran insists that it harbors no animosity towards the peoples of the region, but rather targets American bases and centers that have caused several crimes in the Islamic Republic.
It should be noted that 50 people have been killed and more than 500 others injured since late June, according to the latest announcement by the Iranian Ministry of Health as of July 18. Among these martyrs are women and children.

In a statement addressed to the Iranian people, the Revolutionary Guard affirmed that "heroic fighters in the Guard are continuing operations to clear the region of radars," adding: "The disciplinary operation against the aggressor continues."
Yesterday, the Revolutionary Guard announced that its Aerospace Force had launched a missile attack on an American base in Jordan, where it "destroyed a missile defense radar system and an F-15 aircraft."
This comes in the context of the Iranian response to the American aggression against the territory of the Islamic Republic, in parallel with Tehran’s confirmation that it does not harbor any animosity towards the peoples of the region, but rather targets American bases in response to the crimes that the United States has committed - and continues to commit - against Iran.
In light of this, US officials admitted to CBS News that about 100 US soldiers were injured as a result of Iranian strikes targeting US military bases in the Middle East this month.
