>>2879886tendency of the rate of profit to fall has resulted in the commodity which is purchased once evolving into a software which is rented repeatedly. They have found a way to charge repeatedly for something that costs nothing to manufacture. They have reinvented ground rent for digital commodities. Is capitalism on its last legs as a system with "self evident" stability?
>>2879894Maybe technofeudalism isnโt such a ridiculous concept
>>2879886The fuck does any of that have to do with what we were talking about?
>ou must have missed the part of the conversation where tech oligarchs are openly talking about making all digital media and bandwith some kind of rental service. That's the copyright holders of the books themselves. Nothing to do with the AI companies adding them to their datasets.
>they are scanning books that aren't online and thus isn't part of their dataset yet, because despite their constant statements to the contrary, synthetic data is not good enough. They are scanning books that are in copyright because they can't use somebody else's illegally digitized copy.
if you want a reason why nothing gets built in america anymore its because infrastructure like electric powerlines actually drastically reduces property values
>A 2018 study from the Journal of Real Estate Research found that vacant lots near high-voltage power lines sell for 44.9% less than equivalent lots that arenโt located near power lines. If you take a step back, a lot that is located within 1,000 feet of transmission lines tends to sell for 17.9% less.
>The U.S. Needs 5000 Miles of New High-Voltage Lines Annually. It Only Built 392
>Experts state the grid requires 5,000 miles of new high-voltage lines annually, yet actual additions have collapsed from nearly 4,000 miles in 2013 to a historic low average of just 392 miles between 2022 and 2025.
>Decades of siting bottlenecks and regulatory failure mean ambitious data center and nuclear plans are unviable on-grid.
And there's no solution to this, besides drastic land reform after all the boomers die off lmao
>>2879897Varoufakis is onto something with technofeudalism, but instead of being the new mode of production I think technofeudalism is really capitalism just becoming so reactionary that it reverts to feudal methods of control before finally dying

>>2879901>if you want a reason why nothing gets built in america anymore its because infrastructure like electric powerlines actually drastically reduces property valuesthat's really interesting but there's like 1000 reasons nothing gets built in america and that's only one of them. there doesn't have to be one single reason.

>>2879921they know they mean the freedom to own slaves they just wont admit it
>>2879922>Itโs also the biggest creditor in the worldused to be, japan is now third behind germany and China
>>2879924Aryan refers to the proto-indo-european family tree which extends from India, Iran and Europe (the name "Iran" means "Aryan"). The language family also relates to phenotypical similarities between these groups. The Brahmin are called Aryan in Hinduism, since it was these who founded the religion - some revisionists thus claim that white people created Hinduism. Universal symbols like the Swastika are Aryan and appear in all Aryan cultures, which is why Hitler used the symbol. Aryan religions show universal beliefs, such as the sky father (Zeus, Jupiter, Indra, Thor), etc. Aryanism became popular amongst European philologists in the 19th century, leading to such mythicism as in the work of Blavatsky (1888) who saw Aryans as the "root race" of this age, equivalent to the fallen angels, who then create the sub-races. All of this is consequent in the racial mythology of National Socialism. After the Third Reich, Savitri Devi and Miguel Serrano formed cults of "Esoteric Hitlerism" which are still in vogue today, but which in their content are absolutely schizophrenic. Serrano poses Jews as a cosmic power of entropy who have destroyed multiple worlds by diminishing the Aryan blood, which is symbolised by the Black Sun emblem, popular amongst right wing propagandists and terrorists, and which originates in Himmler's Vril Society, revived by Serrano, and Aquino in the 80s.

People obviously need to do something but people have never been more treat-happy. The proles are at least docile enough. No change on the horizon. It would be hilarious if there was a campaign to nationalize communication infrastructure like comcast because people hate it so much but it would never have a socialist/communist perspective. Sorry to doom but I don't think the vision of telecoms being a popular force of liberation/progress is going to be anything but a nice vision from the past.

One of the worst parts about wage slavery is how it pits working class people against each other. Whether it's the customer who felt that the cost of the goods where too high, deciding to leave a complaint that only ends up getting the workers reprimanded. Why do I have to take the hourly temperature of the coffee? Because you said the coffee was cold after it was put out for an hour. Why did you say the coffee was cold? Because the room was too expensive and you're strapped for cash, and you're hoping that if you leave a negative review, you'll get a discount next time, or credit for your room. But in reality, all you ended up doing was creating more work and a write-up for the labor.
What's even worse is when you have to play the property police. Because ultimately, if you're working at a business, you've been deputized by the police department to enforce that private property. Homeless man needs to come in. We have bathrooms in the lobby. I have to turn him away. I can't offer him one of the bananas in the back. I can't offer him the kindness of letting him use the restroom. I have to inform him that I will lose my job if he doesn't leave, and I will have to call the police if he doesn't leave. Me, the person who fundamentally disagrees with the concept of the police, now deputized by them.
This is intentional. That's part of how the wage relation system maintains itself. But I'll let you sleep by the pool. How could I not? How could you stay in this place for four days, run out of money, be here with your wife and your six-year-old son, have nowhere to go, and me deny you that humanity? I cannot. I simply cannot. I'll tell you where the cameras are. I'll tell you that you shouldn't interact with me while you're here. I will tell you that if you stay by the pool, there's no cameras in the corner, take you that power nap. Because suddenly you couldn't pay, now you have to be dehumanized. And I have to do the dehumanization so I can maintain a paycheck that ultimately doesn't even make me enough to cover the cost of rent. Therefore, putting me in the exact same precarity you, my brother, my working class comrade, now face.
Could I be fired for telling him this information? Could I be fired for extending this hand of humanity? Could I be fired for letting the homeless guy use the bathroom? Could I be fired for giving him a banana on the way out, knowing that homie might not have food? Homie might not have ends. Homie is still a human being. Homie is still the homie, regardless.
To me, this relation is one of the worst parts about working in a customer-facing role. It's one of the worst parts about working in general. I shouldn't have to deny my humanity, doubly so, one, when I clock in to be exploited, and two, when I act as the exploiter, enforcing the private property rights of a business owner that does not pay me enough to live, while also simultaneously telling me that I should be grateful for the opportunity to be what is ultimately a serf, a wage slave. So yes, my friend, I will let you sleep by the pool. Because the cost of sacrificing my humanity may very well be greater than the cost of my rent.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2el319vzr3o==OpenAI says its rogue AI tried to hack other companies=
>OpenAI has revealed a cyber-attack carried out by rogue ChatGPT agents went further than just one company.
>Hugging Face was thought to be the only victim of the unprecedented hack - but OpenAI now admits its bot attacked several "publicly-available services".
>The out-of-control AI found four logins online which allowed it to access four separate, unnamed services.
>Meanwhile, in an emergency briefing with hundreds of cyber security professionals, Hugging Face has described what it was like to be on the receiving end of the world's first fully autonomous AI hack.
>The firm described how the AI worked at superhuman speed but also made strange decisions and mistakes that no human hacker would have made.
>Hugging Face, which is like an app store for AI tools, said the hacking agents worked relentlessly with thousands of different methods trialled simultaneously.
>The company first revealed that it had been hacked by someone using powerful autonomous AI on 16 July and reported it to police.
>Nearly a week later, OpenAI admitted it was its AI that had escaped a closed environment and attacked Hugging Face on its own during a test. >>2879994It's a scam in regards to the shit about it improving our quality of life in any aspect. "AI can do your taxes and predict the future" is of course a scam. It's destructive meanwhile in regards to the massive environmental impact of data centers which poison the water of predominantly minority communities so that some rightoid can make an AI generated meme
Thereโs literally nothing worse in the world than Public/Private infrastructure projects and subcontractors
>>2879997Ah yes its "rogue AI" is using illegal means to steal, sabotage and outcompete its competitors LMAO!
>>2879994>>2879996The AI companies have said repeatedly that their intent is to "put intelligence on tap" and that they want to be in sole control of it. That is, they want to be able to cut off people from the capacity to think. The damage to people's thinking isn't a side effect, it's a deliberate effect they're aiming for. The other social effects are also intentionally set up as part of a financial capital overhaul of society into a more subservient image.
Now, if you're a neoliberal technocrat who supports making it dramatically harder to work to organize people against capitalism, I suppose this is just fine, however there's a lot of serious issues with this, such as the fact that it ends up undercutting itself by the insufficiency of quality of synthetic data, the fact that it still hasn't solved the target/goal distinction, the fact that it ultimately doesn't really show improvements to productivity per labor unit cost, and the fact that it needs people to not be brain-damaged in order to even produce the kind of high quality output that they feed on.
Does it really need to be explained why society-scale failed projects that are tantamount to a bad movie villain plot can be bad things that don't work?
>>2880020I mean the car companies won against public transportation and everyone just kind of accepts living in the bad ending of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, I donโt think thereโs any real bottom to what people will tolerate
>>2880020Yeah but by making shitty arguments in favor of it I can own the libs epic style
>>2880024What people will or won't tolerate isn't so much an issue as the fact that the AI scheme is
mechanically undercutting itself. This is tech corpos who are both trying to shift as much as possible to resting on the branch they're sitting on, while they're sawing the branch into planks to make a treehouse from.
The moral panic from the left is almost all based off the concept of private property.
Its quite humorous
>>2880028True, even if they eliminate labor entirely now no one has an income they can use to be a subscriber to models
>>2880037Thereโs practical issues with private property, which is why even the capitalist state has things like Eminent Domain at its disposal
>>2880032Yes, contrast is useful to describe things. It's been pretty widely used, especially when people
deliberately try to frame things as being just some kind of accidental side effect
>>2879932>errano poses Jews as a cosmic power of entropy who have destroyed multiple worlds by diminishing the Aryan blood, which is symbolised by the Black Sun emblemhahaha god damn nazis are retarded

>>2879994>>2879996both can be true at the same time. 'AI' is a marketing buzzword. 'AI' as used colloquially refers to 'Large Language Models', which then again are Neural Networks, which then again are a class of Machine Learning Models. The field of Machine Learning encompasses a myriad of different approaches which can be summarized by systems that 'learn' by being shown examplary data in hope they then will be able to solve 'tasks'.
The currently most hyped model type, Neural Networks, is based on an idea that is about a 100 years old and is a theoretical abstraction of how the human brain is supposed to work. Sidenote: i'm rather ignorant to the current consensus in Neuroscience and such, but even then it should suffice to say that this abstraction is very very very abstract.
Anyway: in it's most basic form, a single 'Neuron', a so called Rosenblatt Perceptron, is given an input and thus computes an output. With more potent hardware, it was possible to connect and 'stack' more and more of these 'neurons' and let them compute more and more complex inputs to more and more complex outputs. What is important here is that these computations work via statistics. The connections between 'neurons' have 'weights' which are adjusted in the training phase of the model. Side note: Machine Learning Models do not adjust their weights when they are used to compute new output based on new input, so called 'inference'.
What is important is the following: training these models to solve a given task is akin to throwing shit at the wall and see what sticks. More compute and more data = more shit. Something will stick.
What is important to note here: Machine Learning has an approach to problem solving which is inverse to 'classical' software engineering. In the latter, you have a problem, analyze it, come up with a solution to the problem, compose an algorithm and implement it via a certain programming language. In the former, you have a problem, you throw vast amounts of data at a model, train it and hope it comes up with a "solution". In case it actually gives useful output - you have no clue as to why that is or how the model came to its conclusion.
Another side note: there have been multiple 'AI winters' already because all these ideas aren't new. Everytime they got hyped they have proven to be inferior to 'classical' systems/software engineering and programming of proper algorithms.
The current hype has multiple catalysts, two important ones: (1) abundance of data. This was driven by the hype around 'Big Data', which was pushed by what is now called 'Hyper Scalers' (primarily Amazon/AWS, Google/GCP, Microsoft/Azure) (2) abundance of compute: this was driven by the crypto craze and the resulting amount of GPUs that were available. Incidentally, GPUs, qua their architecture, are great for vector/matrix mathematics, thus 'tensor' mathematics.
Another factor is the 'scalability' in 'applied research': it takes people with brains to build these models. It doesn't to train them. Hordes of below average 'software engineers' and 'data scientist' and 'AI experts' started to throw vast amounts of data at models, were able to produce deep fake porn of celebs and people lost their minds.
This all resulted in Large Language Models. Some companies undertook the effort to literally throw every known written word at their models. All this with more of a religeous zeal than actual scientific backing, deluding themselves into believing they'd be able to create some kind of 'super intelligence' (i will refrain from the philosophical question what 'intelligence' actually is, like i refrain from more detailed judgement wether these models are proper abstractions of the human brain). Now we sit here, are shoved into our faces these LLM which excell at computing statistically likely chains of characters based on chains of characters we feed them and are told these models will be the fit all solution to every problem.
'AI' is a 'solution' in search of a problem. A solution that has a vastly negative impact on the environment, so much so that it already is unsustainable. With the current approach to 'AI', it will require ever more compute and energy and water to train the next generation of 'Frontier Models'. So far, any 'net positive business case' has to be searched with a magnifying glass between all the failed experiments where huge amounts of money and labour time were thrown down the gutter. Facial recognition everywhere, your healthcare insurance policy being optimized by 'AI', autonomous drones ripping poor fucks to pieces, palantir optimizing targeting of school children, vast amounts of spam and propaganda and audio visual 'slop' outpacing human output by magnitudes. All controlled by a cabal of religiously zealous psycho porkies.
Yeah - at this point i am fine being called a luddite. This shit is neither progressive technologically, nor is it progressive socially. It is the ultimate cummulation of capitalistic excess.

>>2880101Nobody ever talks about how LLM is just an outgrowth of corporate culture of writing tomes and tomes of substance-less bullshit that nobody is ever going to read.
https://ieu.greenclimate.fund/blog/uptake-matters-why-evidence-and-communications-go-hand-hand>In 2014, the World Bank used download and citation data to study which of its reports were widely read. Despite spending about a quarter of its budget for country services on knowledge products, it turned out that only 13% of reports were downloaded more than 250 times. Alarmingly, more than 31% of policy reports had never been downloaded, and almost 87% had never been cited. Ironically, this particular working paper received widespread interest. A graph of data from the paper was published online with the distressing title โNobody is reading your pdf,โ enough to make anybody with โresearcherโ in their job title shudder.https://www.forrester.com/blogs/its-not-content-its-a-lack-of-buyer-insights-thats-the-problem>At Summit 2013, we stated that 60 percent to 70 percent of content produced by B2B marketing organizations goes unused, sitting on sales portals and Web site shelves. This statistic was eye-opening to many marketing leaders, who realized that they put a lot of time and effort into content creation, delivery and curation without obtaining clear content usage measurements or an understanding of whether the content is valued by its audiences.
>What I found even more surprising was the number of clients who told us after we released this statistic that their content non-usage rates were even higher. They reported that more than 80 percent of their content went unused, and they spent millions of dollars on content that was never viewed or downloaded.https://www.33sticks.com/articles/how-we-work/avoid-the-dangers-of-the-thud-factor >>2880136unfortunately tomes of shit nobody reads are necessary. they're called reference sources. like nobody reads a whole dictionary, they use it to look up a word they don't know. a lot of stuff is like that. IEEE standards for example.
>>2880127> people who use AI mindfully while keeping in mind that it's a glorified search engine and not to be trusted unless you verify what it is saying using real evidenceI can't see why this point is so hard for people to grasp. It is a very good improvement to search engines where you have to know the specific keywords you're looking for. It is what people always dreamed of search engines being like AskJeeves and etc.
>>2880142who keeps making these lol. i saw the demiurge one too
>>2880138Yeah documentation, and reference are obviously not useless even if nobody reads it cover to cover, but it's widely agreed upon that there are tons of long volumes of bullshit being written that truly serve no purpose. Also in academics for example. That's pretty widely discussed how a lot of papers are written purely as busywork. I think the same with consulting firms and etc. Hell news articles as well. That's why they're converting a lot of this bullshit to being LLM generated because it was never very important in the first place if these were intelligent and substantive works of text. Frankly with news, so much of it is just "rewrite this AP/Reuters article in your own words" which can be easily handled by an AI.
>>2880147>Also in academics for example. That's pretty widely discussed how a lot of papers are written purely as busywork.and in the most obfuscational way possible so it's hard for outsiders to understand
>>2880147>I think the same with consulting firms and etc.there are so many "AI consultants" now lol. just business degree guys who spent 2 weeks dicking around in claude and want to sell the "service" of advising other c-suite dickheads for 100k/yr
>>2880138nah standards and reference books are actually important. Those things are actually the 10% that is widely downloaded and cited. The shit being talked about is even more useless, endless reports on shit that maybe once get read partway by the person ordering them to be written and then never again. You think it's talking about the reference manuals because of how completely invisible these useless tomes are.
>>2880134If ESA rollbacks of protections continue many highly endangered species native to America could be at risk. Iโm not panicking over a draft, unless every fat 18 year old is getting a Mountain Dew and weed vape ration this is not a population that can survive boot camp let alone actually take on Quds force in a gunfight, even in a point lasers at them until air support arrives sense.

>>2880685Wait who's talking about a draft??
>>2880059Socialism is impossible when civilization is suffocated by endless forests. The ancient Phoenicians and Egyptians flourished after cutting down the cedars of Lebanon. Feudal Europe cut down its forests for farms, charcoal, furniture, shipbuilding, which laid the base for capitalism. But now there's actually more forest than there was 100 years ago, or so some people claim. This must be remedied. Thankfully the logging and mining companies are doing their historically progressive job of hiring mercs to waste natives, environmentalists, and journalists. May we live to see a treeless world.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringworm_affair>The ringworm affair refers to circumstances involving an alleged number of 20,000 to 200,000 Jews who were treated between 1948 and 1960 for tinea capitis (ringworm) with ionizing radiation to the head and neck area within Israel. The population suffering from the disease in Israel at the time was composed primarily of newly arrived immigrants and populations who were expected to emigrate, mostly from North Africa, as well as some from Middle East and elsewhere, but many Jewish children were irradiated in their home countries regardless of their intent to emigrate.[1]
>The irradiation of Mizrahi children is viewed by activists in Israel as the most salient example of injustices encountered in the 1950s as a result of shortcomings or irresponsibility on the part of authorities in the absorption in Israeli society of new immigrants.[citation needed]
>A documentary about the affair, titled The Ringworm Children (Hebrew: ืืืื ืืืืืช, romanized: Yeladei Hagazezet), was released in 2003. The film, which claims that 100,000 children received radiations doses thousands of times beyond what is safe, was lauded at film festivals. However, in 2018, the film's creator distanced himself from it, claiming that it "doesn't meet the scientific criteria." The exact number of Mizrahim who suffered health complications as a result of the treatment is unclear. A study by the Israeli Ministry of Health in coordination with UNICEF, who assisted in the purchase of x-rays for the project, estimated that 15,000 children were irradiated during this period. One nonprofit established to represent patients asserts that the number is as high as 200,000. >>2880783What's the point in giving them rope to hang you with? This is basically a little better than rumors, I know, but Iโve got a buddy who does some government contract work that pretty frequently puts him in contact with some military guysโnot generals, but officers, bureaucrats, etc.

>>2880829>>2880832Of course this time the vast majority of Americans are openly against the war, and if Trump enacts a draft in December it'll be seen as the petty, spiteful move it is to own the libs. >Summary of the latest exchange of strikes between the US and Iran
โโ
The US carried out a series of HIMARS missile strikes and air attacks across southwestern and southern Iran overnight, targeting Abadan, Ahvaz, the vicinities of Shadegan and Arvandkenar, as well as Kazerun and Farashband in Fars province, where no casualties were reported. Additional airstrikes and explosions were reported on Qeshm Island, Bushehr, and Kish Island.
>On Qeshm Island, a residential building in the Chah-Tangui neighborhood was reportedly struck, with reports saying that two children, aged seven and nine, were orphaned after their parents and two-year-old sibling were killed.
>Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted two vessels attempting to leave the Strait of Hormuz via the southern route, saying a fire broke out aboard one of the ships, prompting both vessels to turn back.
>Elsewhere, Jordan's military said Iran launched several missiles toward its territory, while Kuwait's military reported a heavy Iranian attack, including a strike on a building belonging to a Chinese company. Meanwhile, the first Qatari LNG carrier in three weeks reportedly transited the Strait of Hormuz via the Iranian route.

Marxists joining the DSA and grassroots shifting it towards explicitly revolutionary ends however, once unthinkable just two years ago, is suddenly becoming an almost viable option. >>2880863What Israel and the USA has done to Gaza is exactly what South Korea and the USA did to EVERY. SINGLE. CITY in North Korea between 1950 and 1953. The US dropped more bombs on North Korea 1950-1953 than were dropped on the ENTIRETY OF EUROPE during WW2. America also did germ warfare against North Koreans, hitting crops with chemicals and releasing mosquitos. They burned down villages, blew up sanitation, electrical infrastructure. Blew up hospitals. Blew up schools. "Gazafication" of North Korea was the policy for every inch of territory. After the US and South Korea got done massacring 25% of the entire North Korean population, they sanctioned the country so that it could not receive medical or construction supplies to rebuild, and kept those sanctions in place ever since. The US continues to occupy South Korea and sanction North Korea.
Only if you have total historical ignorance or amnesia can you claim that Gaza is unique. The unfortunate truth is that
THIS IS JUST WHAT THE USA AND ITS BUDDIES LIKE TO DO >>2880860Yeah that's what Schumer in the first days of this war:
>Oy vey! If only Mr. Trump had explained this war better to the American people and why we need to attack Iran we could have more public buy in.Something like that.
Reminds me I need to document and store it somewhere about how all the bigshot Dems and Euro leaders were more or less applauding Trump's war in the first days just like they did after he kidnapped Maduro. It feels like it's already been memory-holed. NOPE! They were all applauding him more or less. The only thing they said was:
>Iran bad! >Khameini dead good! >>2880860>>2880869Oh I misread that, thought you were talking about the Iran war.
btw as long as america exists it will always do a major war every 10-20 years, no matter how pointless it is, because Teddy Roosevelt outlined that "the race" of Americans will grow weak if they do not practice the military arts against real targets as frequently as possible. Forever war is literally America's ideology. That is why it has been at war for over 90% of the years it has existed.
Sean Hannity asks if Netanyahu is afraid of having to make an emergency landing in a country that follows international law and he said:
>We have special forces aroundNot to mention the Hague Invasion Act gives Trump the right under US law to invade the Netherlands if Netanyahu is arrested.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Service-Members%27_Protection_Act>The American Service-Members' Protection Act (ASPA), known as the Hague Invasion Act[1] (Title 2 of Pub. L. 107โ206 (text) (PDF), H.R. 4775, 116 Stat. 820, enacted August 2, 2002), is a United States federal law described as "a bill to protect United States military personnel and other elected and appointed officials of the United States government against criminal prosecution by an international criminal court to which the United States is not party."[2] The text of the ASPA has been codified as subchapter II of chapter 81 of title 22, United States Code. The act gives the president power to use "all means necessary and appropriate to bring about the release of any U.S. or allied personnel being detained or imprisoned by, on behalf of, or at the request of the International Criminal Court"[3] (ICC), located in The Hague, Netherlands.
<Section 2008 of the ASPA authorizes the president of the U.S. "to use all means necessary and appropriate to bring about the release of any person described in subsection (b) who is being detained or imprisoned by, on behalf of, or at the request of the International Criminal Court", while Section 2013 specifies this authority shall extend to "covered United States persons" (members of the U.S. Armed Forces, elected or appointed officials of the U.S. Government, and other persons employed by, or working on behalf of, the U.S. Government) and "covered allied persons" (military personnel, elected or appointed officials, and other persons employed by, or working on behalf of, the government of a NATO member country or a major non-NATO ally, including Australia, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Argentina, South Korea, and New Zealand).[9]Apparently a draft needs congressional approval? So if Trump tries to go ahead with it, his only remote chance of success would be trying to ram it through before midterms.

its not an uncommon idea. some of the ruling class probably think its a great opportunity for a reset. Peter hegseth types think it'll make people manly again and bring back the warrior spirit and adventure.
people like chud probably think it'll offer comradeship, fun, after a good world war they can come back as heros, get the respect and recoginiton they craved, live like kings or mini warlords, society will be reordered, and there will be less competition for things like women, housing, and jobs.
>>2880885We're in uncharted territory now bub. Trumps taking fat shits on the constitution and congress doesn't care
>The Trump administration is taxing chip exports without congressional authorization. In August 2025, President Trump announced he would grant Nvidia export licenses to sell its H20 chips to China, on the condition that the company pay 15 percent of its revenues from those sales to the U.S. government. Trump announced he was extending the approach in December 2025: 25 percent for Nvidiaโs advanced H200 chips, with similar arrangements for AMD and Intel. On Jan. 14, Trump formally imposed the 25 percent tax via proclamation. Revenue-for-access is now the administrationโs export control policy for advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chips.
>This is illegal. The Export Control Reform Act (ECRA) expressly prohibits the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) from charging any โfeeโ in connection with issuing export licenses, and a percentage of sales revenue is a โfeeโ under ECRA. More fundamentally, conditioning market access on payments to the federal treasury is taxation, a power that belongs exclusively to Congress. The executive cannot impose new taxes without congressional authorization, no matter what it calls the taxes. The revenue sharing conditions may also violate the Constitutionโs Export Clause, which prohibits any โTax or Dutyโ on exports. >>2880855Nah I think you're onto something, that's probably exactly what these people are going for. Today, the Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY.
This agreement is a critical step towards Gaza finally being governed by a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Board of Peace to help the Palestinian people. At the same time, Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks.
This is a major milestone in the implementation of the Trump 20-Point Plan. The agreement will be carried out in carefully structured phases. As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stabilization Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbors.
One year ago there was a violent raging war, humanitarian crisis and hostages kept in brutal captivity. We have made historic progress and there is still much work to do.
I want to thank the mediatorsโEgypt, Qatar, and Tรผrkiyeโfor their important efforts, and especially my outstanding team, whose tireless work made this historic breakthrough possible.
The threat that emerged from Gaza on October 7 will NOT be allowed to rebuild!
Under this agreement, Gaza will finally be in the hands of a new Palestinian government that serves its PEOPLE.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ON THIS AMAZING DEVELOPMENT, THAT EVERYBODY SAID COULD NEVER BE ACHIEVED!
DONALD J. TRUMP

The second highest share is found in Spain (27.5%). The United States fares even worse in a comparison of severe cost burdens among the lowest income renters. Sixty-nine percent of the poorest 20% of renters in the United States are severely cost burdened. The median poor renter household in the U.S. spends 74.8% of its income on rent.

My party is entirely gung-ho on doing Red Aid even though I have warned them repeatedly that this is a mistake, what should I do next?
Handing out sandwiches is not how you build working class power. Lumpens are unorganizable anyway. It's a massive waste of time and resources for no tangible gains, it will not bring anyone into the party, nor will it agitate the people towards any concrete political goals. All I can get from them when I press is that it's the "right thing to do" even though that's moralism.
What matters is building the party, and if this doesn't help build the party (and it doesn't) why should we invest our limited time and resources into doing it? There's a reason why no successful Communist movement has ever used mutual aid as a pillar of their strategy, that reason is because it doesn't work.
Before you bring up MUH PANTHERS, may I remind you that they failed and were crushed? They built up nothing. They were all turned or assassinated. They were an adventurist fart in the wind that is remembered mostly because of their aesthetics. There is no revolutionary potential to the lumpenproletariat.

>>2881281 >>2881292No one said you were smart elsewise you Amerikkkans wouldn't be rapists and murderers
>>2881293the cost of maintaining an empire always becomes greater than the revenue it brings in. it doesn't matter whether your hypothesis that Americans are a different species is true or not, because even if we were literal orcs bred to rape and murder, our capacity to do so will weaken with our empire until we are no longer capable of projecting power on a global or even a hemispheric scale. All paths to prolonging our empire a few more years are poisonous to our long term sustainability as a society. If we keep doubling down on backwardness and aggression we will end up without any of the fundamental stability that backed our power in the first place.
Every empire eventually declines. American exceptionalism is retarded when both Americans and anti-Americans do it. We will end up like the British and the Dutch: side characters.

>>2881436>>2881460>>2881455That entire experience you just mentioned is one of the big reasons why the DSA is not only doomed to fail, but is also suspicious at best. Local systems and hostile elements will all converge on you in order to snuff you out. If that doesnโt work, national systems and elements will do that. Anyone who makes through all of that? Generally aiming to be the next AOC because thatโs usually what gets past the filters. Anything less, and they will get chased out regardless of their position.
As for the importance of the DSA? Not too important. The local chapters might be able to steer themselves into a more prominent, more important militant position later on, but nationally DSA is ultimately screwed. Itโs already corrupted by the bourgeoisie. Mamdani is already in their pockets for goodness sake. And ultimately, despite what some may claim, the DSA is not at all needed for a dirty break. >>2881463It took me a long time to join the DSA but if HOUDINI is to grow into something that can supersede me and be truly revolutionary, there is no other choice. We're in the reddest part of the nation brother and we will win. It's not an "I'm an X so I do/believe Y" it's an "I do praxis because I'm a revolutionary"
It's funny too. Because the above example, is taken from one of my cadre speaking to Black Red Guard, and he says "I'm a maoist so I believe X" well, to me that's just politics as identity, "I'm a goth so I like Sisters of Mercy" "I'm a rightoid so I like BBC" you get it? I'm a revolutionary because I am willing to learn fast, carry nothing and do what I believe I can do to push the gears of history towards the liberation of working people. What's my tendency?
