Navigating the struggles between existing political forces to produce the best conditions for socialism is the only practical course of action. If you're going to argue that neither side can offer any improvement over the other and we should be neutral then you should actually demonstrate this with evidence and analysis as Lenin did. He didn't just point out that all the competing powers were capitalist and leave it at that.
