Can someone sauce me gif related. All I know is that it's the Fire Dragn Falme Bullet Jutsu from naruto, but I have no idea what episode it is from. The only episodes I know it's used is
Naruto Episode 71 (Third Hokage)
Boruto 134 (Jiraiya, though the animators fucked the technique up)
And it's from neither of these episodes https://naruto.fandom.com/wiki/Fire_Release:_Fire_Dragon_Flame_Bullet

could easily spawn an actually interesting thread but it's reduced to a reply in some shitty attempt at a general because retards can't stop imitating what the Big Boards like 4chan do.
>>4240> easily spawn an actually interesting thread
No, no it couldn't you absolute retard. It's not broad enough of a topic to generate much more than 2 or 3 posts in response, because Jiraiya Gouketsu is a fairly straightforward and easy to find story and there is not much to talk about on its own. If interest was to be shown, then it could spawn its own thread, that's how this board got made and how /games/ was made, there was sufficient interest in /leftypol/ and /hobby/ that they were trial-run in /roulette/ and were successful enough to warrant separate boards
Cry harder faggot >shitty attempt at a general
<anything I don't like is a general
<generals are bad… becuz!!
You're actually retarded. You do realize it's fairly standard for most boards on any chan, big or small to have source and Q & A threads right? If People want to make an offshoot thread nothing is stopping them, /hobby/ recently hd a Tolkien thread get made because Tolkien was a popular enough topic on different generals to prompt a thread. That's how small boards work, not a hundred esoteric threads with 3-5 posts each that get forgotten after the sink past page 2. Fucking retards like you honestly need to learn to put out the arse fire they have.
Every question belongs in its own thread. Do you think this is a 50 post/sec board or something?
You're not even making any sense you redditfag.
Did you read the OP or are you just that retarded?
1) QUESTIONS that do not belong to any current threads and or have a broad enough topic to become their own threads can be deferred to a general Question thread, this is called a QTDNNTOT
(Questions That Do Not Need Their Own Thread). This includes requesting sources for images or videos and for posts that are not OP material.
"Is dis animu lefteest" is the most cringe shit on any leftist board and yet people constantly spam this kind of shit, and then get mad at why the mods delete this kind of lazy shit.
2) DO you think this is a [fast] board
No, that is irrelevant. Small and big boards tend to have such types of generals because it is convenient and users don't have to search through a dozen different threads looking for a simple answer to a question, and they don't need to make pointless low-effort OPs for simple single reply questions.
Now stop derailing this thread whiner.
I didn't misread anything. In fact I'm an oldfag who never liked this dumbass newfag development in how to organize forum topicality. I simply reject your premise entirely that there exist questions that do not deserve their own thread. These sorts of threads basically amount to Discussion Containment Threads and they kill both the overall traffic on a given board and neuter discourse that could be had on a deeper level outside of them if questions weren't treated like throwaways that deserve so little respect they belong in a containment thread.
>>4262>I didn't misread anything
Then you're just a whiny loser>I'm an oldfag
Even if your bullshit was true… get with the times, the future is now old fart>in how to organize forum topicality
LOL wut? How is this any different to how /a/ has been like for a literal decade? Just because there isn't a million autistic subthreads? >reject your premise entirely that there exist questions that do not deserve their own thread
Except you're wrong. A question like "Where does X image originate from" is not deserving of its own thread. It is a simple question and answer, 2-3 posts at maximum. That's why boards have always had source, question and request threads for ease of use>These sorts of threads basically amount to Discussion Containment Threads
No, they don't you autistic retard. They amount containing requests and nonrelated posts that don't have much substance. If I had a question about Berserk I'd post in the Berserk thread, but if I ask "what anime is X image from" I go to a general question thread to avoid shitting up other threads with unrelated, thread derailing garbage… like your faggotry. >kill traffic, neuter discourse
Big claims, no proofs>be had on a deeper level
Nigga the fuck are you talking about. There is no deeper level to be had in a simple question of "what anime is this pic from?">deserve so little respect they belong in a containment thread
Just a quick FYI, all questions posted so far are mine… the OPs. Ya know why I did that? Because I didn't consider each post worth making a seperate thread for, but since we didn't have a basic source/Q&A thread, I decided to kill 3 birds with one stone.
I already posted the Naruto related one in Naruto a while ago, but since non-Naruto fans likely won't go onto the thread, and the over-all userbase is small, I decided to repost it in clearer format on a dedicated question thread that most anons can make use of freely. The Jiraiya Gouketsu is not technically an anime or manga, merely Japanese, however I was asking in the context tangentially related to an anime series, I decided to post it here as well as in >>>/edu/
Whether you like this thread or not, is irrelevant, if you don't like the thread, don't open it, just don't shove your whiny opinion in anyone else's face, like you are doing.
It's episode 442 of Shippuden during the Jiraiya Shinobi Handbook Arc Infinite Tsukiyomi dream). The user is Uchiha Shisui and the Chidori-stream is actually Sasuke.
What do you use to watch anime? I personally download them using this:https://github.com/anime-dl/anime-downloader
I just use free online streaming, because I don't watch it that often. If I want to keep something I download it.
If you watch a long series downloading the episodes you'll watch saves you bandwidth. The tool I linked above lets you download from streaming services without loading the pages or ads that you have to load in order to access a regular website, which saves you a considerable amount of bandwidth. There is also the fact that this tool is blazing fast even in slow connections, as it uses aria2c you can read more about it here:https://aria2.github.io/
Finally because I don't like to search for streaming websites anime-downloader already has a list to choose from
Thanks, I'll give it a spin sometime.
You might have more luck on /jp/.
There are VN threads on this board and /jp/ always deletes them,, even when spoilered.
What's the anime in the header pic with the revolutionary federation youth?
Is it Ghibli?
>>4907>the header pic
Do you mean the Banner?
The catgirl with a hammer is an OC made by a user named Hardkoba.
The Miyazaki one is a classic of /a/
The tankie one is Nagatoro
That's weird, are you making new threads or asking in the /vn/ thread? When /vn/ was in /vg/ it was pretty normal to ask for sauce. Also, you could ask on /r/ and /wsr/ if all else fails.>>4918>The Miyazaki one is a classic of /a/
Not him, but which film is it? I usually don't watch Ghibli.
Thanks but >>4931
has me covered now>Miyazaki
He's asking about the banner, where Miyazaki is being interviewed and says anime sucks. >usually don't watch Ghibli
You really should, they're by far the best anime films out there, highly recommend them. >>4931>v43
I assume that's the first pic and the second VN is the second pic. Thanks m8!
Yeah, X Change was licensed by JAST USA a long time ago. Licensed VNs are relatively easy to pirate, you just have to google for the ISO. Judging by the amount of ratings, it's probably still being pirated regularly. (If you still wanna buy it, the official site is in the link)
Sadly, the other one is only in Japanese, so I don't know how hard it is to find.
And both of those were my posts, I just tend to make two posts in a row like an idiot.>He's asking about the banner, where Miyazaki is being interviewed and says anime sucks.
Oh, I get it now. But I thought the other guy >>4907
was asking about this banner. I wanna know the source of that too.
Oooh gotcha. It's from one of Youjiro Arai's work.
Is there anything similar in scope and feel to Legend of Galactic Heroes but at most half as long (so 50-ish episodes or less)? Doesn't have to be sci-fi.
Sorry if this isn't quite the right thread but I felt like it would be worse to create a new one just for this. (Maybe we should have a general thread for recs.)
This is the right thread for questions comrade.
- Legend of Galactic Heroes movie and OVA's essentially compress the same story type as the animated series into a few hours.
- Iron Blooded Orphans is a mecha anime that has similar themes
- The Special Duty Combat Unit Shinesman
- I've heard people recommend Tytania (2008)
- others: https://honeysanime.com/6-anime-like-ginga-eiyuu-densetsu-legend-of-the-galactic-heroes-recommendations/
Thank you kind anon, I'll check these out.
Pic 2 is Final Girl by Kokikuji You
Anyone know if there are other esoteric sites like this (other than TouchFluffyTail).
1. head to nyaa to get torrent
2. download torrent
3. open file in VLC player
4. turn off my brain (VERY important steep)
5. enjoy (?)
1. go to gogoanime
2. click download button for the episode I want
3. select the highest available resolution
First pic is Kaibutsu Oujo, aka Princess Resurrection.
did we really need one of these threads for such a slow board
Do we really need your whining for such a slow board?
I think it's hotel speller triward
what is liberalism if not motel spelled backwards downards in japanese cartoons
>>7406>using sage as reddit downvote
Stay mad, bump
I have to say it's a quaint anime that in some ways resembles DxD and in Darksiders, though it's not as good as either. Still fun I suppose.
Thanks, I couldn't find a decent song-identifying system that worked.
What anime is https://youtu.be/eyTPDDlDU4U?t=797
13:17 - 13:25 from? The character is familiar but I can't find it in search. Pic related
Help: I'm looking for an anime made roughly 5-7 years ago. The only scene I can remember is this dude in a beanie hat waving an arm and pointing in directions, subsequently having cars crash by his whim (telekinesis ?) and no it's not "Another".
Anyone have https://youtu.be/YLYvSjEm0oE
? It's an RWBY 'analysis' shitpost video that a user made a while ago.
I found some info, the video itself seems gone tho https://archive.is/iXh9N
It's Slayers, young man. I forget precisely which arc.
Damn this brings back memories
Thanks, I recall Slayers dimly, (I remember the Ginger chick having darker reddish hair TBH)
Nyan Koi 2009
Episode: Does Heaven Await Me?
SauceNAO is having localization issues
The fuck is this board? I only just realized this is here. /alt/ that is, for some reason this thread says /anime/
/alt/ is all the sfw boards minus leftypol. So /anime/ is included.
/alt/ isn't a board in itself, it's another overboard in case you don't want to use /overboard/ and manually hide /leftypol/ and /siberia/. Not sure why it was needed but it's there, along with /sfw/ (all boards except /siberia/)
Why are are anime fans so obsessed with what others think about the anime they watch?
They get so upset when people just not like something in an anime they like
Because if you get attached to something you feel outraged on behalf of something you value, because they feel that their personal values are being attacked by essentially making out their sense of taste to be trash. (And also because some people are genuinely stupid in their "criticisms")
Cuz they can't like things while acknowledging their flaws, and that's because, for otaku, the media they consume is their whole identity.
>>10504>10 year old video>over 1k comments>barely any answers to " what show is this " or nobody in the top comments even saying the name
youtube is so fucking shit sometimes.
anyways it's called "Kagi Hime Monogatari: Eikyuu Alice Rondo"https://myanimelist.net/anime/577/Kagi_Hime_Monogatari__Eikyuu_Alice_Rondo
Thanks anon! Yeah though since its such an old video I can understand the lackluster description
I swear I remember a story arc/episode (from original Naruto not Shippuden) where the Hokage (I think Tsunade but maybe it was the 3rd?) was taken prisoner or something and a shapeshifter secretly took her place. And I think Anbu had been infiltrated maybe? Idk, it was a long time ago but I vaguely remember this plotline or something like it.
Anybody know what I'm talking about? Or am I confused and maybe thinking of another show…
Biscuit Griffon - Gundam
Iron-Blooded Orphans, a Gundam show.>>10581
I think you may be confused with something else. This episode may be what you mean as someone disguised themselves as Tsuna (https://naruto.fandom.com/wiki/Kidnapped!_Naruto%27s_Hot_Spring_Adventure
!) or you maybe talking about this arc (https://naruto.fandom.com/wiki/Konoha_Plans_Recapture_Mission
), the ANBU make an appearance.
Yeah this is it, thanks, I kinda combined them in my head
Fuck, now I remember, I think I even posted fanart of him in the fat anime thread kek. Gundam is one of the anime I want to watch the most, but I don't even know where to begin.
Starting off with Mobile Suit Gundam: 0079 is usually a good spot. If you don't want to watch 43 episodes, watch the movies, Gundam 1, then Gundam 2 : Soldiers of Sorrow and then finally Gundam 3 : Encounters in Space. These three movies tell the story of the OG anime Gundam and summarizes it in three 2+hr long films and it's a great watch through, if you have Netflix all three movies are there. If you would rather just dive in, you can watch a side-story like the 08th MS Team, which is still set in the same timeline as the original but tells a different story. The original (0079) is the first story, but there are multiple other Gundams, like Iron-Blooded Orphans that you can just watch whenever if you aren't watching in chronological or in order of importance.
There are movies such as "Char's Counter Attack" that can be watched by themselves or after watching the OG that has the introduction of Char, but you'll be missing information from other shows that leads up to the main story plot point.
While Gundam is nice, canon or what's incredibly important is kinda thrown off by just how many entries, side-stories and standalone stories it has. If you truly wanted you could watch anything at any point. You could start off with Origins which is technically the first chronologically because it sets up 0079 and like 6 other series, but I wouldn't recommend that. Start off with 0079 UC and go from there.
Anyone have the clean OST for the Melting Point VN - the part where you melt/repair Tin - the theme is catchy as fuck and is stuck in my head. (Game https://astrokaen.itch.io/melting-point
Found a playthrough on youtube (some parts are skipped). The melody is from 1:35 to 2:43 I don't know the name or how to find a clean version of the music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQRSndC2u9g&ab_channel=PureGameplay
First one is just a pic.
Second is a doujin that was actually sold IRL at a doujin convention, but doesn't look like it was scanned outside of what the artist gave on pixiv already.
Third is the inside illustration of leopard book 7,and is well, drawn by leopard, not gucci.
Not that anon but how'd you find it?
it's written in the post….I extracted the game assets with uTinyRipper and just found it in the "audioclip" folder.
Oh fuck you're right, sorry for being a dumbass.
I would've found a solution but I had no idea what engine this game uses (Unity, apparently).
I watched the first Gundam movie, but can I continue watching the series from here, instead of the other movies?
Sure, you'll miss some stuff but as long as you enjoy it, it doesn't matter also /m/ >>845
>>10874>you'll miss some stuff
h so there's extra stuff in the movies? Or you mean the episodes I didn't watch?
Cuz yeah, I noticed that in the series there's some stuff that I didn't see in the movie so that confused me for a bit.
The movies remove some content that were in the series but also add new scenes that are better animated.
Hmm, I see. Maybe I'll stick with the movies after all.
Yes, that's a good plan. Also, G Gundam is very good but also very different from all the other gundams. You should watch it at some point, maybe after you've watched a 2 or 3 of gundam series.
Fucking HELL, WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS BULLSHIT. It takes no time to put the episode number in the description or better yet, answer the people in the comments who are asking instead of giving vague ass answers and just liking the damn comment, fuck this shit irks me.
The episode number is 306 " The Heart's Eye " from Naruto Shippuden.
Thanks so much anon and yeah it irks the hell outta me too but it's to be expected from Tiktokfags
Does anyone know of any good English-language analyses of ero guro (whether the whole movement or particular works)? I feel like there must have been more to the movement than just drawing weird porn but that's the only context in which I ever see it discussed
>>11133>feel like there must have been more to the movement than just drawing weird porn
From what I've read, there is, but I don't know any English analysis of it.
>>4948>Legend of Galactic Heroes movie and OVA's essentially compress the same story type as the animated series
There's a series and
and OVA series??
exactly what it says on the tin.https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm13055293
it's just an obscure music that was part of a music pack on vocamania.
I don't really know what you're asking, since the video you posted doesn't have the sound effect of the game anyway.
I was hoping there was a longer version and it was suspicious because that was the only video on youtube
I found this one on a Twitter thread via Google Images reverse searchhttps://twitter.com/patbatemanstan/status/1391729768278761478>>11227
I found it on Facebook but in Spanish.
Here it is on Reddit, albeit with a watermark:https://www.reddit.com/r/Boruto/comments/nhu8d7/hope_this_hasnt_been_posted/
Anyone have an idea where I can read "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom" LNs? Baka Tsuki only has an incomplete Portugeuse-Brazilian variant and doing double translation is a pain in the arse. Russian is preferred but English is good too.
Bro, check Nyaa.
It's in English tho

What anime is he from? >>11932
Unrelated to the metaphor but I've seen that weight thing from anime being memed on the internet. In what other anime do characters use those to train, and then shit gets real when they take them off? (Other than DBZ)
Sairaorg Bael from DxD has similar restraints he can take off, (see DxD Hero episode 11).

Next time use this site or Google Translate to draw and identify kanji:https://jisho.org/search/%23kanji%20%E9%9B%BB
(It's pronounced "den" btw)
Thanks, I suspected it to be related to that (given that a scene before Naruto got zapped) but since it differed from the kanji for lightning I sought an expert opinion >site
thanks for the link!
>>12004>it differed from the kanji for lightning
Which one do you think that is?
Lightning (Kaminari) - 雷 - As in Kaminari no Kuni?
Ah, ok. There seems to be a bit of an overlap between the two kanji's meanings (specifically in "lightning"), but commonly, 雷 (rai, kaminari) refers more to the natural phenomenon of thunder, lightning and such, while 電 (den) is used more for things that are powered by electricity (for example 電話, phone, or 電車, which roughly means electric train).
Thanks I didn't know that. I sort of inferred a relation to the Rai symbol and it's meaning, but not much past that.
This has actually made me curious about why they're so similar but also why they're used in different situations/how they came to acquire slightly different meanings. It would help understand how to use each kanji (as a standalone word), but that doesn't really matter a lot, what matters is how Japanese people use them in the present.
And then there's also the word 雷電 (raiden) lol
Yeah the complexities of Japanese grammar are an honest to god enigma to me.
>>12801>wut anime is pic related and video related from?
Kagi Hime Monogatari: Eikyuu Alice Rondo
Thanks a bunch anon, I have a soft-spot for silly anime of the early 2000s
Does anyone have an example of a performance of "Subarashii Yakusoku" or a lyric sheet that is matched with the music?
I'd be glad to help but I have no clue what that is and even searching in quotes gave me nada.
Can't confirm he actually said that (all I can find is reddit shit) but the animu character is Charlotte E Yeager from Strike Witches.
Even though the site might be run by libs, it's not a bad resource.

The last one I meant more specifically a better version of the pic (google is a bitch) but thanks. I watched GeGeGe no Kitarō as a kid but it's been so long I thought it'd been an Inuyasha OVA that I'd missed.
Huh, I suspected it to be twisted grim. Danks
Don't have anything concrete, but apparently Jiraiya as a character had been renowned enough that Kishimoto planned to put him in th story before it even began; "I had decided from before the serialisation that Jiraiya would certainly appear even in “Naruto”, because of his fame in various ninja legends…" https://kiyoitsukikage.tumblr.com/post/171773782164/first-databook-character-sheets
So yeah, no concrete information but he'd apparently been a popular legend in modern Japan for decades prior.
