Pretty much all twitter sexuality discourse comes from literal fascists who think all sex is rape and all depictions of women in media are inherently about raping them blahblahblah.
Turns out real people are nuanced and can in fact enjoy being sexualized on their own terms and everyone is different in their personal tastes. Which, being a video game, ie something you can choose to play or not play, means it's always going to be on your own terms. If you don't like how a game depicts sex it's easy enough to just not play that game, no?

The people who insist that we need to control media for the sake of giving people representation that they never asked for are basically the radfem equivalent of incels. They don't actually interact with the opposite sex enough to have any idea what makes for healthy discourse, they just want to railroad their own beliefs into the product for their own egos. It's kinda just exhausting trying to discuss media with people who hate humanity and use media critique as their outlet for misanthropy instead of celebrating human sexuality and the human physical form.

It's troubling because there is a side of the argument that is right: games or other media should be able to stand on their own merits and characters should have a purpose for their existence beyond gooning unless the gooning is somehow relevant to the plot. But underage twitter radfems completely miss the point of sexuality discourse and just default to puritanism rather than trying to make art better or more diverse. Like it's not a surprise the only people who engage with them are also underage incel retards while everyone else sees both parties as immature morons that let porn live rent free in their heads 24/7. They aren't bringing any solutions beyond being mad at the physical reality of women having breasts and men(and lesbians) being attracted to those breasts. Art is inevitably going to celebrate the human condition and a huge part of that condition is sex and sexual attraction. Even if you're the biggest pessimist and view it purely as a cashgrab because tits sell, that's still totally human behavior and not something we should be ashamed of lol. If you don't like it, that's fine, but people should be more open-minded in general to just letting everyone have their fun if it's not hurting anyone.

I totally agree I think you should be able to critique a game's aesthetic for not fitting your tastes so long as you aren't a prude about it. Especially when different games in the same series have totally distinct aesthetics. I just get irritated by people who treat their own opinion as more important than it is.
