Dangerous Disinfo Shifts US Blame: Claims Israel "Caused" US War Rather Than an Extension of It (23:59)

<The New Atlas - Mar 11, 2026

>The US can continue existing as a rapacious empire with or without Israel - it surely did fine for almost 2 centuries before Israel was created out of thin air by the Anglo-Americans - but the crimes of Israel would be impossible without US empire behind it.

>Israel is not blameless. Blame it for its role in facilitating Western empire up to and including abetting genocide and wars of aggression. But do not blame it for "corrupting" something that was never wholesome to begin with.

>People claiming Israel controls the US are either delusional or dishonest. And I'm primarily talking about people that pose as experts that are spreading this narrative around. Almost every single one of these people are the same people who told you last year that President Donald Trump and his administration were coming in to save America and save the world. They were leading a revolution. They were fighting the deep state. They were going to work together with multipolarism and usher in a bright new future for us all.

>They were 100% wrong about that. I told people at the time that they were that the Trump administration was going to obediently serve continuity of agenda and they were going to make everything far worse than it already was. And I was very specific about it, too. It wasn't a vague warning. I told people he's going to take the war in Ukraine, dump it on the Europeans. It's going to escalate out of control, which it is. He's going to then take the resources that they are going to focus elsewhere and first start war with Iran and then China. And that is exactly what they have done. And I warned people before the first war of aggression against Iran last year and I warned people again this year.

>There was no diplomacy. They were always bent on going to war. Nobody is twisting their arm to go to war. It was a foregone conclusion before President Trump even stepped foot into office. It was a war that the Biden administration was already preparing the ground for all four years in office, the Trump administration before that, and going all the way back to the Bush administration. I explained in detail how the whole Arab Spring was designed to reorganize the region into a united front against Iran, topple Iran and not to control the Middle East. And that's that. But because it was a prerequisite for encircling both Russia and ultimately China.

>This is about primacy over the globe. not just primacy over the region, which is why people claiming Israel controls the United States, why this claim is absolutely utterly ridiculous. Now, let me get into this and again […]

Reminder that the initial plan of soft regime change à la Venezuela failed.

Reminder that the Kurdish offensive shit failed.

Reminder that the Azerbaijani invasion plan fizzled.

Reminder that the missile & drone attack counts have stabilised and are not indicators of depletions or C2 degradation.

Reminder that the US/Israel STILL don't have air supremacy over Iran since their non-stealthed aircraft are still using stand-off munitions outside of Iranian airspace. The frequency of airstrikes have also decreased and stabilised.

Reminder that Gulfie AD is now busted due to a variety of reasons such as interceptor depletion, just as predicted.

Reminder that underground missile bases hit with bunker busters from B-2s are still operational & satellite imagery shows minimal damage, just like what happened with Natanz.

Reminder that Iran has destroyed most American radars in the region.

Reminder that the pool's closed & mined in Hormuz and that Trump the retard doesn't actually want it to fizzle. Since he's the low-autism score variety of bourgeois he reifies markets and doesn't understand shit about supply shocks and how severe the production suspensions in oil fields are. He genuinely thinks he's fixing shit by temporarily lowering the price through various soft methods which causes him to keep the war going, and is therefore inadvertently creating the most fucked oil supply shock in history.

Iran Mines the Strait of Hormuz | War Update 10 (13:59)

<Propaganda & Co. - 33 minutes ago

>Trump panics as oil rises. Iran mines the strait. Things are getting ugly.

>This is video update number 10 for the Iran war. In the time since my last video update, which was posted three days ago, the situation has mostly remained the same. The US and Israel continue to heavily bomb Iran. Iran continues to fire missiles and drones, and the Straight of Hormuz remains closed. However, there is a lot of important information to update you on. In short, Iran is still currently winning in my opinion. Except now there's even more evidence to suggest that. Over the weekend, Iran selected a new supreme leader. Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ali Khamenei, was selected to lead the country. Mojtaba is considered to have similar politics to his father, but many believe that he is potentially more of a hardliner, especially since his father, wife, child, and other family members have just been killed by Israel and the United States. So the US just launched an expensive and destabilizing war to replace Khamenei with a more hardline version of Khamenei that has a personal vendetta with them.

>Oil prices also surged to nearly $120 per barrel, the highest in years. The average gallon of regular gasoline in the United States also increased on Sunday to $345, representing a 47 cent jump from about a week earlier. Diesel was also selling for an average of about $460 per gallon, an increase of about 83 cents from the previous week. This surge in pricing produced a tremendous amount of pressure on Donald Trump, forcing him to reverse his previous statements about a prolonged war lasting until at least September in claiming that the war was 'very complete'[…]

>Crassus was the richest man in Rome, but lacked the martial credibility of fellow triumvirs Pompey and Caesar.

>So he set out to make a name for himself by crushing Persia. Lost his army in a battle waiting the Parthians to run out of arrows. His ill-planned expedition ended with a mutiny, capture by Parthians and having with molten gold poured in his skull.

>Following the crushing disaster, Rome had its military image severely dented. A nation that they viewed as barbaric had annihilated them. They had slain Crassus and his own son, captured the legions’ standards and taken enslaved Roman prisoners deep into the east.

ain't no way

>The US Navy refuses thousands near-daily requests for escorts due to high attack risks

> "Neither France, nor the United States, nor any international coalition, nor anyone else is in a position to secure the Strait of Hormuz."

>Iran threatens to target any vessels attempting passage, with some already hit.

>No escorts have occurred despite prior claims. US Energy Secretary Chris Wright deleted his post claiming successful escort, that was made only to manipulate oil market (lower the price)

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/us-navy-tells-shipping-industry-hormuz-escorts-not-possible-now-2026-03-10/

For now, Iran is successfully implementing its "sea denial" strategy denying the adversary access to a given body of water or sea route. Tehran is employing asymmetric means for this, such as mines and maritime drones.

Voices in the Pentagon are also saying that breaking the Strait of Hormuz blockade could mean the need to use ground forces to seize and secure part of Irans coastline.

This situation clearly shows that you can have what is probably the worlds most technologically advanced naval fleet, the largest number of aircraft carriers, but in the face of difficult geography in the theater of military operations and an adversary using asymmetric methods, even a great power can face too high costs of military action imposed by a state that is far weaker conventionally.

Ukraine is also demonstrating this against Russia. Most recently, it successfully attacked the port in Novorossiysk again, proving that Russia has no safe sanctuaries for its fleet. All of this without navy, only using asymmetric means such as drones.

G7 nations have said they support releasing "strategic reserves" of oil as price volatility continues because of the Iran war.

Fuck will the Gulf collaborators not bend and realise their pan-arab and anti-imperialist necessity, over time with this war, or rather the attacks on military bases, oil infrastructure, economic industries i.e. tourism hurt them enough that it does not matter and it will moreso fuck the US and Israel in their warmongering, depleting them more.

A strategic cruise missile test launch was conducted from the destroyer Choi Hyun.
(Pyongyang, March 11, Korean Central News Agency)
Amid ongoing operational evaluation tests of the Korean People's Army Navy destroyer Choe Hyon, another strategic cruise missile test was conducted on March 10.

Comrade Kim Jong- un observed the test launch via video conference.
Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the test on the destroyer is intended to verify the reliability of the integrated command system of the state strategic weapons, the evaluation of the detection and weapon system systems, and the combat effectiveness of the integrated combat system from a technical perspective, and on the other hand, to demonstrate the strategic attack posture of our Navy and train the marines in the relevant military operations.
The strike target specifications were transmitted to the destroyer Choi Hyun, the launch was approved according to the relevant procedures, and the strategic cruise missiles were launched simultaneously against several targets.
The launched cruise missiles flew along a set flight trajectory in the West Sea of Korea for 11,160 to 11,380 seconds, striking individual island targets.
Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction with the confirmation of the reliability of the integrated command system of the national strategic weapons and the superiority of the integrated combat system.
Comrade Kim Jong Un instructed that the composition of the ship armament system of the destroyer to be built in the future be re-examined in our own way from the realistic military requirements and developmental perspective.
Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the military effectiveness of ship-mounted automatic guns installed on ships should be reviewed in accordance with our actual conditions, and expressed the view that it would be more advantageous to equip ship-mounted automatic guns on high-speed, maneuverable ships of the 3,000-ton class or less and to additionally deploy supersonic weapon systems instead of ship-mounted automatic guns on 5,000-ton and 8,000-ton destroyers to enhance ship-to-ship and strategic attack capabilities in line with the operational characteristics of the ships.

Comrade Kim Jong- un emphasized that this type of weapon system configuration plan should be reviewed and implemented starting with the third ship.

Comrade Kim Jong- un stated that maintaining and expanding a strong and reliable nuclear war deterrent is a very important strategic task, and pointed out the following:
《The components of our war deterrence are now being effectively and rapidly integrated into a highly sophisticated operational system, and the national nuclear force has transitioned to a multifaceted operational stage.
Recently, significant achievements have been made in putting strategic and tactical strike means into practical use.
Such achievements have renewed our military's readiness for strategic action and increased confidence in it.
The confidence and self-assurance based on these proven capabilities will enable us to take the lead in military activities for national defense and play a significant role in further developing our potential.
Comrade Kim Jong- un emphasized that our continuously strengthened offensive weapons systems are essential elements for thorough self-defense.
Comrade Kim Jong Un presented a series of important tasks for rapidly strengthening naval power, including completing the operational capability assessment of the ship's maneuver elements and its weapon systems, including anti-aircraft, anti-submarine, and torpedo weapon systems, and delivering the ship to the Navy within the given deadline; accelerating the construction of another destroyer aimed at the Party's founding anniversary this year; and reinforcing and establishing the naval base infrastructure. What targets did the Iranian missiles hit during waves 38 and 39 of Operation "True Promise 4"?
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced the launch of the 39th wave of Operation “True Promise 4” in the name and memory of Iran’s martyrs, and in particular the martyr Amir Mousavi, against American targets in the region.

<"We destroyed the American bases in the Gulf."

He pointed out that he destroyed the American bases in the Gulf using the “Qadr” multi-warhead, “Khorramshahr” multi-warhead, and “Emad” missiles.
He said: "We thank and appreciate the heroic and courageous effective attacks of the resistance forces, which are a continuation of the large-scale missile and drone attacks of the Iranian forces."
She noted that "these attacks have instilled terror in the Israeli entity, and have turned the lives of Israelis for the past 11 days into a prison besieged by sirens."
He pointed out that "the Strait of Hormuz is undoubtedly under the control of the Revolutionary Guard's naval forces, and the American aggressors and their partners have no right to pass through it."

<"We have eliminated the remaining American military forces in the region."

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard also announced that it had launched two powerful and simultaneous missile strikes on the US helicopter base “Al-Adiri”, resulting in the elimination of a large number of US soldiers and the transfer of more than 100 wounded to Al-Jaber and Al-Mubarak hospitals in Kuwait, as part of the 38th wave of Operation “True Promise 4”.
The Guard targeted with missile and drone strikes the infrastructure arteries of the American base in “Mina Salman”, which is the center of the Fifth Fleet of American terrorists, including the very important “Leeds” system.
Simultaneously, and through severe strikes, the Patriot camp, equipment depots, and housing and assembly centers of American terrorist soldiers at the two naval bases, “Mohammed Al-Ahmad” and “Ali Al-Salem”.
He confirmed that the 38th wave had finished off the remaining American military forces in the region.

<What targets did the Iranian missiles strike?

The Iranian army also announced that it targeted, at dawn with drones, the Israeli military intelligence organization known as "Aman", Unit 8200, the Green Pine radar, and the submarine headquarters building at the Haifa naval base.
The army indicated that the "Aman" headquarters it targeted is part of the Israeli entity's intelligence structure. It participated in identifying targets and military operations in the aggression against Iran.
He pointed out that Unit 8200 is the unit responsible for collecting intelligence signals, tracking digital communications, and offensive cyber operations.
The army statement said that the Iranian armed forces were able to inflict extensive damage on the "Green Pine" radar, which is one of the main pillars of the Israeli aggression against Iran to counter Iranian missiles, thus greatly reducing the entity's ability to repel Iranian missile attacks.
He confirmed that the Iranian army's operations have continued since this morning against targets in the Israeli entity, stressing that the Iranian armed forces will not hesitate for a moment in defending Iran's independence and sovereignty and preserving the Islamic Republic system.
Since the start of the aggression against Iran, the Iranian armed forces have shot down "104 drones belonging to the American-Israeli enemy," according to Iranian television.

I'm fully aware of this I'm just making fun of the "zog isn't real america and israel are actually the same entity" retards that always pop up. basically ML types that base their interpretation of events on perceived "absolute truths" and rules of geopolitics instead of the world as it is.

Israel and America publicly present themselves as a unified entity, and Israel has so deeply infiltrated American politics that American politicians will go on TV and talk about how they love Israelis more than Americans and the media will tell you how thats a good thing actually. But the reality is the stronger Israel gets the worse it is for America's Middle East hegemony. The Israelis are a destabilizing force in the region, not a puppet that does our bidding in service of oil prices or maintaining global trade. The average American chauvinist, and even the average glowie that is committed to American global dominance, should hate the Israelis for how readily they subvert and undermine the American Global Liberal system in pursuit of genociding all Muslims and raping children.

This explanation does gloss over America's enthusiastic involvement in destabilizing the rest of the Middle East which Israel helps them with. But those conflicts were in pursuit of "Capital" while this war is just a poorly veiled race war that doesn't benefit anyone except Israel. Gas prices were already going down and under control before Trump/Netanyahu started this. They already conquered Venezuela to sustain the US need for oil for another 50-100 years. The situation between Iran/Saudi Arabia was in a stable stalemate that could be sustained for another 10-20 years at the minimum. Pretty much zero reason to invade Iran from a US glowie perspective except that Israel wanted to, Trump's inner circle are retards, and Trump is easily bribed/blackmailed.

Iranian and Lebanese missiles and drones break the warning time and paralyze Israeli defenses
As some Israeli media outlets have recently reflected, Israel faces challenges in its early warning system and missile and air interception system as a result of missile and drone attacks from Iran and Lebanon. These challenges have emerged, according to commentators, in the time gap between what is announced by the Home Front on the one hand, and the time of the warning on the ground on the other hand, as well as in the difficulty of intercepting some targets, especially with regard to the challenge of cluster missiles, which has led to public criticism regarding the shortcomings and defects.

>First: Warning time challenges

1- The Iranian Front
Military commentators have noted in recent days a clear reduction in the time interval between advance warning (when missiles are launched from Iran) and the sirens that mean entering shelters and protected rooms, after it was close to 10 minutes at the beginning of the war, and sometimes it does not exceed 4 minutes, if it is not intercepted over Jordan.
This problem is linked to factors such as the launch site, weather conditions, and the possibility of a malfunction in the monitoring or tracking systems. The mystery was compounded by the Home Front Command's inability to provide a clear explanation, coupled with media reports of "unconfirmed claims about an American THAAD battery being hit in Jordan."
Commentators noted that after the "Rising Lion" war about eight months ago, the security establishment claimed that 99% of the drones launched by Iran towards "Israel" were intercepted or disabled.
Despite Israel's assertion that the intensity of Iranian barrages has decreased, commentators say this does not negate the risk of reduced warning time and its psychological effects on the home front and Israelis.

2- The Lebanese Front
The warning problem appears to be more complicated on the Lebanese front due to the short distance, the speed at which threats arrive, and the nature of the mountainous terrain, especially with regard to drones.
According to commentators, Israeli officials have acknowledged that they do not have sufficient capacity to provide effective early warning from the north, even against drones.
There were also reports of rockets falling from Lebanon without the activation of sirens, and the army attributed this to a local malfunction, which sparked further criticism of the security and military establishment.

<Second: Challenges of the interception system

Israel faces a dual challenge: intercepting long-range Iranian ballistic missiles, and confronting missiles and drones coming from Lebanon within a short timeframe.
On the Iranian front, it relies on systems such as Arrow and David's Sling, while on the Lebanese front it uses the Iron Dome, electronic warfare systems, and sometimes combat helicopters.
However, the main objections were the inadequacy of early warning, local failures in activating the sirens, insufficient readiness to confront drones since the beginning of the war, in addition to the ambiguity regarding the true success rates and the stockpile of interceptor missiles.

<Third: Israeli solutions and approaches

Israel seeks to contain these challenges through several measures, most notably:
  • Adopting a policy of media ambiguity regarding the number of missiles and interception rates, to prevent the adversary from estimating the extent of the attrition.
  • Accelerating the production of air-launched munitions and interceptor missiles in preparation for the continuation or expansion of the war.
  • Improving the integration of air defense systems and developing methods to counter drones by combining kinetic and electronic means.
  • Taking advantage of the fact that, according to Israeli assessments, Iran has not yet used new types of weapons or highly maneuverable missiles that would cause a qualitative breakthrough.
  • Relying on increasing the pace of defense production in "Israel" and the United States to ensure the sustainability of interception capabilities.

Patriot launcher transferred after Ankara says it will be deployed near NATO radar base
A US-made Patriot air defence system has been seen on a road in eastern Turkiye after Ankara said it would be deployed near a NATO radar base, according to video broadcast by Turkish media.
Footage from Malatya province showed a Patriot missile launcher travelling along a highway earlier today.
Turkiye’s defence ministry said the system would be stationed near the Kurecik base, which provides key early-warning radar data for NATO.
According to Reuters, the base helped detect two Iranian ballistic missiles that headed towards Turkey over the past week.
Iran has denied targeting Turkey and says it is not at war with regional countries.

Expatriates are flocking to donate blood in the wake of Iran attacks on civilians in Bahrain, highlighting the incidents in Sitra and Seef District where innocent sleeping families and coffee drinkers were caught up in separate incidents of destruction.
GulfWeekly quiz columnist Shannon Crockett, an Australian event and radio show host and dedicated blood donor, is among those leading the charge.

“I used to give blood donations regularly while growing up, and that is mostly due to my mother,” Mr Crockett told the GDN. “She remains one of the biggest donors in Australia, and has been giving blood to assist those in need for more than 50 years.
“So, I am used to giving blood and after I heard about what happened in Sitra, I made the decision to visit the Central Blood Bank at Salmaniya Medical Complex and donate on Monday night to help those needing surgery.”

For those who wish to donate before iftar, they are required to call 17284455 for more information and an appointment.
Once donors arrive at the bank, they are required to register and undergo a short physical examination and interview. Potential donors are required to be at least 18, in good health, weighing at least 50kg, and should be free from sexually transmitted diseases and drug use.

Iran to Washington and Tel Aviv: Admit your defeat… We hold the initiative in the Strait of Hormuz
In a new video statement, Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters in Iran, confirmed that the Iranian armed forces have full initiative in the Strait of Hormuz.
Zulfiqari stressed that Tehran "does not need to close the Strait" as a first option, but rather that the current aggression carried out by the United States and the Israeli entity is what has pushed towards this reality.
Regarding the global energy crisis, the spokesman pointed to the failure of Western attempts to contain the escalation, stressing that "oil and energy prices cannot be reduced by artificial respiration," in reference to the collapse of American economic tools in the face of the resilience and deterrence capability of Iran in Hormuz.

<Zulfiqari: We are the ones who determine the end of the war.

Zulfiqari issued a firm warning to US President Donald Trump and the leaders of the Israeli occupation, saying: "We have warned you repeatedly that you are the ones who start the war, but we are the ones who determine its end."
He continued: "Be honest for once and don't pretend to be heroes. Admit your defeat throughout the history of the United States and since the establishment of the ill-fated Israeli entity."
He added in a decisive tone that Iran would not allow "even a single liter of oil" to pass through the strategic strait for the benefit of the United States, the Israeli entity and their partners.
He also pointed out that Iran considers the blood of the martyred leader Ali Khamenei "a dividing line against any leniency, so the policy of retaliation on our part has ended and we will now continue the policy of strike after strike until you are punished and completely regret it."

A few days ago, a high-ranking Iranian military official revealed, in exclusive statements to Al-Mayadeen , new deterrence equations that will change the face of the confrontation, stressing that not a single liter of oil will be allowed to be exported from the region to the hostile party and its partners until further notice.
It is worth noting that Iranian officials have repeatedly asserted that Tehran did not close the Strait of Hormuz , but rather that it is closed due to the war instigated by Washington and Israel in the region, preventing ships from passing through and leading to a surge in oil prices, which have exceeded $115. It is also worth noting that the Strait of Hormuz typically sees the passage of 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas.

what did Larijani mean by this?
>It’s Kantian ethnic, not personal animosity. It’s a philosophical theory, the kind you might encounter if you took the time to read some books. The fundamental premise is to envision history as a sequence of “dialectical” conflicts. Each dialectic begins with a proposition, a thesis… which inherently contains, or creates, its opposite – an antithesis. Thesis and anthesis. The conflict is inevitable. But the resolution of the conflict yields something new – a synthesis – eliminating the flaws in each, leaving behind common elements and ideas.
>The bombs wiped the slate clean. Human civilization descended to a level of ignorance that effectively set our cultural progress back to zero. The Gulf states have all of the problems of the ancient Roman Republic – extreme bureaucracy, corruption, extensive senatorial infighting. Just as with the ancient Republic, it is natural that a military force should conquer and transform the Gulf into a military dictatorship. Thesis and antithesis. The Tigris River is my Rubicon.

Maybe, I won’t discount this. Things can continue to spiral out of control. I think it’s unlikely tho, the U.S is already grinding to halt against Iran and is already pulling assets from Asia. I can’t see them trying to commit to a land war in Asia against a nuclear and manufacturing power. I’m still going with my prediction from the last thread that this war will drag on in till at least the midterms. Trump will trigger a civil war attempting to rig the elections or fail to rig the elections and lose massively making him a lame duck. If it’s the latter the dems won’t do anything/wont be able too. https://www.declassifieduk.org/how-britain-is-involved-in-trumps-iran-war/

Britain has hosted US jets and bombers on their bases, and also utilised jets, missiles and radar systems to go against Iranian drones, as well as said jets patrolling gulf monarchies.

Britain is practically involved in the war, and from previous threads has an entrenched history with Iran especially relative to electioneering and British Petroleum interests, and 'ex'-colonial regional control.

>Welcome to the Age of Aquarius.
Aquarius is my Zodiac sign so I can vibe with this right before getting droned by a Shahed at a hotel while on a cosmic yoga vacation to the Arabian peninsula.

RANDOM BALD MAN FROM CANADA:
Mark Carney is assisting Israeli/US belligerence in a slew of ways. From Lebanon to the Gulf, Ottawa is enabling dastardly crimes that could push the region into chaos.

On Sunday Carney spoke with the prime minister of Lebanon, Nawaf Salam. The read out noted, “the Prime Minister expressed support for the clarity of the decision taken by the Government of Lebanon to outlaw Hezbollah and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Prime Minister Carney reiterated Canada’s position that Hezbollah must immediately cease its attacks on Israel and called for all parties to de-escalate and respect Lebanese sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Carney didn’t criticize the Israeli invasion, which has killed 500 Lebanese and displaced 15% of the country. Israel is seeking to permanently depopulate a large swath of southern Lebanon. Before Hezbollah launched some rockets in response to the assassination of Iran’s supreme leader, Israel violated the ceasefire 10,000 times, killing 300, according to the UN mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Instead of pushing others to follow our odious path, Hezbollah should be removed from Canada’s terror list as it’s nobly resisting Israeli expansionism and violence.

In a follow up from Carney’s speech Global Affairs put out a series of posts about Lebanon on Tuesday that failed to mention, wrote Dave Gray-Donald, “which country bombed the UNIFIL facility, bombed Beirut, has killed hundreds of Lebanese people and gave evacuation orders to displace nearly a million.” In contrast Spain’s foreign minister José Manuel Albares has denounced Israel’s “invasion” of Lebanon as a “tremendous mistake”.

Canada’s statements are part of Ottawa’s effort to further subordinate Lebanon to US and Israeli dictates, as I detailed a year ago in “Helping Lebanon or working for the US and Israel?” As part of this effort the Canadian Training and Assistance Team-Lebanon has bolstered the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) as a counterweight to Hezbollah. LAF receives about half its budget from the US and has received tens of millions of dollars in Canadian support.

On Sunday foreign affairs minister Anita Anand spoke with her Israeli counterpart. There’s no indication she criticized the genocidal apartheid state’s violence in Lebanon or Iran. Similarly, Carney spoke with Donald Trump about Iran. Did Carney offer the lunatic US president assistance?

With US special forces operating in Iraqi Kurdistan and reports of new deployments it’s important to recognize the close ties between Canada’s elite JTF2 and their US counterparts. Canada’s special forces have been covertly dispatched with US fighters during major wars in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan (as well as lesser conflicts in Haiti, Bosnia, Rwanda, Kosovo, Congo, Peru and Colombia, etc.). JTF2 also have longstanding ties to Kurdish forces in Iraq so Canadian special forces may already be there (After substantial questioning the government admitted there are 200 Canadian troops in the region).

The Communications Security Establishment is another part of Canada’s US-aligned foreign policy apparatus likely playing a part in this war. With a $1 billion budget and 4,000 employees, CSE is Canada’s main contribution to the US/UK/Australia/New Zealand Five Eyes intelligence sharing arrangement. It’s almost certainly assisted in gathering information on Iran, Hezbollah and others targeted by the US and Israel.

As part of justifying belligerence against it, ‘Canada’s NSA’ has been hyping the Iranian threat to Canada. A week ago the CSE’s Canadian Centre for Cyber Security claimed “pro-Iran hacktivists will likely view Canada as a target … due to Canada’s public support of the U.S./Israel military activity.” That could give CSE license to engage in offensive cyber operations against Iran as it has a mandate “to degrade, disrupt, influence, respond to or interfere with the capabilities, intentions or activities” of foreign actors.

Last week Canada’s Chief of the Defence Staff Jennie Carignan discussed assisting Gulf monarchies who’ve come under Iranian attack for stationing US troops on their territories. It’s unclear what exactly they are considering but former foreign affairs minister Lloyd Axworthy suggests the government is preparing the terrain for some type of military support. Axworthy explained:

“Words matter in government — especially when they shift military commitments. Canada has quietly upgraded the Gulf states from ‘strategic partners’ to ‘allies’ in official communications this week. It sounds like a small semantic change. It isn’t.

“A partner is a trade relationship. An ally carries the weight of mutual defence — the kind of commitment enshrined in NATO’s Article 5. Canada has no such treaty with Qatar, the UAE, or Saudi Arabia. Yet as tensions with Iran escalate, PM Carney and Gen. Carignan are deploying the word ‘ally’ — and alongside it, talk of ‘defensive platforms,’ anti-drone systems, and military liaison officers deployed to the Gulf.”

Considering Canada’s role in isolating Iran diplomatically and economically, as well as its soldiers on exchange in the region, contribution to NORAD, arms sales, etc. it’s disingenuous to suggest Canada “will not be participating in this war” as defence minister David McGuinty stated Monday. The question is the extent. And for anti-imperialists how can we ensure no more Canadian participation in the horrendous violence.

https://mronline.org/2026/03/09/imperialisms-assault-on-third-world-sovereignty/ by Prabhat Patnaik

'Imperialism which until now had been engaged in undermining that sovereignty through diverse backdoor manoeuvres, has now resorted to open military intervention for doing so; this constitutes a direct attack upon national sovereignty, and therefore opens up an altogether new chapter in history, paving the way for an effective reversal of decolonization.'

'Re-colonialization however is not confined to extracting a “drain” from oil-rich countries; it also takes the form of seeking to impose “unequal treaties”, such as the Indo-U.S. Trade Treaty, which create captive markets for American goods, as in colonial times. Of course, with this effort at re-colonialization, whether imperialism would succeed in overcoming its present crisis is beside the point; it believes that re-colonialization constitutes a way out of the crisis, and that is what matters.'

'Re-colonialization as an imperial strategy was sold by the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to a group of initially-sceptical European leaders recently. He of course put it in a different language but his suggestion was as direct as possible. His argument was that the glorious ‘Western Civilization’ had in recent years suffered a setback because of the rise of Communism and of the anti-colonial movements that Communism supported; this setback had to be reversed. This obviously meant a reversal of the gains of the anti-colonial struggles, that is, a re-colonization of the world. A revival of the glory of ‘Western Civilization’ in short depended, according to Rubio upon a re-colonialization of the world. A more direct call for subjugating the third world to imperialist control is difficult to imagine.'

>I'm glad I never fell for the "just join the military" meme when I was looking for work
A really retarded thing about the U.S. military in this one is they just didn't have anti-drone defenses going in. There were more details today that the soldiers who got barbecued in Kuwait was worse than initially reported, there were like 30+ more soldiers in that building sitting in front of computers who got badly burned, sprayed with shrapnel.

From what I can tell the anti-missile defenses do work pretty well although they're burning through the interceptors, but a lot more drones are "leaking" through than missiles. Other than CIWS on warships (and occasionally removed from decommissioned warships and installed on trailers) there really isn't anything to shoot down drones other than fighter jets, but that's like chasing after a mouse with a Ferrari. It's not like the Ukraine war where both Ukraine and Russia have a lot of different stuff to shoot down drones.

>Soon after the cruise missile offensive, another significant portion of Blue's navy was "sunk" by an armada of small Red boats, which carried out both conventional and suicide attacks that capitalized on Blue's inability to detect them as well as expected.

This guy destroyed almost 20 US ships within the first 20 minutes of the exercise. In the current war, Iran damaged maybe 2-3 American ships.

This is just proof that American war simulations heavily stack the odds in favor of their enemy. They design simulations meant to absolutely break their own military but in an actual conflict they're fine.

So for all those saying that China can beat America in a war now; please shut the fuck up.

The cheaper bombing runs have not materialised so far, btw

17:20 GMT
US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran has “lost their navy, they’ve lost their air force, they have no anti-aircraft apparatus at all,” with all Iranian leaders presumably “gone.”

“We could do a lot worse,” Trump told reporters, adding that the US military has hit the Islamic Republic “harder than virtually any country in history that’s been hit.”

In a phone interview with Axios, the US president said that the US-Israeli campaign against Iran would end “soon” since there was “practically nothing left to target.”

“Any time I want it to end, it will end,” Trump concluded.

Patriot missiles in Ukraine are operated under far harsher conditions; since they have little additional airforce coverage to protect from SEAD counterstriking. Additionally Ukraine had and still has a boatload of Soviet and other Western SAMs and anti-air defenses. Meanwhile American and Israeli SAMs can fire with relative impunity, they don't have to fear being immediately struck by a Su-57 or Iskander getting instantly lobbed at them the moment they turn on their RADAR and open up their position. The real issue is that American air-defenses lack a medium range SAM/AD system, it's either long-range like the THAAD, Patriot, SM3 and SM6 or it's short range CIWS stuff like the Phalanx*. So Patriot batteries are being used to intercept everything from drones to planes to ballistic missiles. Additionally American and Israeli SAM doctrine usually launch AT LEAST 2 missiles per target. Ukraine has been very conservative with how it uses its limited missile stocks.

*The Phalanx has a ground based version, and a pretty accurate one too. They used to get used in American Iraqi bases if I recall to protect from mortar fire. I wonder why they're not being deployed to protect Patriot batteries or other targets, they should be dealing with drones pretty easily, even if not the ballistic missiles.

IRGC ready for all-out war of survival
Iran’s IRGC is saying that time for retaliation is over and that it’s ready for all-out war. It realises that its existence is at stake and there’s no time for tit-for-tat operations.
The Strait of Hormuz is now a no-go area, and it says that not a litre of oil will pass without Iran’s permission.
Regarding the three ships that have been hit, the IRGC said that while they were sailing under a different flag, they were working for the US and Israel.

Iran says ending war requires guarantees against future aggression
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says Tehran remains committed to regional peace but insists the war can only end if its “legitimate rights” are recognised.
In a post on X, Pezeshkian said he had spoken with leaders of Russia and Pakistan and reiterated Iran’s position that the conflict was “ignited by the Zionist regime and the US”.
He said any resolution must include recognition of Iran’s rights, payment of reparations and international guarantees against future attacks.
The remarks come as diplomatic efforts intensify to contain the conflict, with Russia maintaining close contact with Iranian leadership and calling for a halt to hostilities.

US embassy in Baghdad warns of attacks on energy infrastructure
The embassy says in a post on X that “Iran and its affiliated terrorist militias may be planning to target US-owned oil and energy infrastructure in Iraq.”
It also said that Iran-backed militias have targeted hotels frequented by Americans throughout Iraq and its autonomous Kurdish region.
The embassy reiterated its call for US citizens to leave the country.

Brigadier General Fadavi: All American bases in the region have been destroyed… and there are more surprises in store for the Americans.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, confirmed that his country possesses underwater-launched missiles with a speed of 100 meters per second, suggesting they may be used in the coming days.
Fadavi added that Iran and Russia are the only two countries in the world that possess the technology for these missiles, stressing that the Americans should expect more surprises in the coming days.
He also pointed out that there is not a single American naval vessel within 700 kilometers of Iran, adding that the US Navy "fled because they know we have a special plan to sink their aircraft carriers."
In this context, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guard said that if the American people knew how much tax money is spent on building military bases in the "Middle East" they would revolt today, stressing that "all these bases have now been destroyed."
Fadavi also confirmed that the Islamic Republic is strengthening its air defenses in a way that prevents any fighter jet from approaching its borders anymore.
He stressed that the enemy must take into account the possibility of entering into a long-term war of attrition that could lead to a complete collapse of the American and global economy.

<Qalibaf: The Iron Dome today seems like a mere ironic paradox

For his part, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf explained that "the United States claims that it destroyed Iran's missile capabilities, but the first waves of large-scale missile launches were in fact intended to blind the enemy's radars and defense systems."
He added in a post on the "X" platform that Iran is now able to target any site it chooses with fewer missiles, noting that "the Iron Dome now seems like a mere ironic paradox."

<Brigadier General Mousavi to Trump: Look at the pictures of American bases "before and after"

For his part, the commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Majid Mousavi, addressed US President Donald Trump, calling on him to order the US Central Command “CENTCOM” to release information and images of the before and after strikes that targeted a number of military bases, saying that they are “scenes worth seeing.”
Brigadier General Shekarchi: If Iranian ports and docks are threatened, all ports and docks in the region will become legitimate targets for us.
Meanwhile, Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi stated that if Iranian ports and docks are threatened, all ports and docks in the region will become legitimate targets for Iran.
Shakarchi added in a statement to Iranian television that the successive operations carried out by the Iranian armed forces against the enemy are achieving success, stressing that the Iranian forces inflicted very heavy losses on the United States and its bases in the region and in the occupied territories during the past night.

<CENTCOM's claims denied

He also denied claims by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) that Revolutionary Guard naval vessels were hiding inside economic ports, stressing that these claims were "false and baseless."
He pointed out that the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guard and the army are "too strong to have to go to populated areas or economic centers," considering that these claims are being used as a pretext to target and threaten economic centers.

<An invitation to neighboring countries

He called on neighboring countries not to harbor American forces and to expel them from their territories.
He added that Iran respects the national sovereignty of countries and the national interests of Muslim peoples, but believes that these lands are currently being used as hideouts for the brutal American army.

Houthi‘Regional war to enter new phase soon’: Iranian security official
An Iranian security source has told Al Jazeera that the continuing US attacks on the country might soon lead to the emergence of a fresh theatre of conflict in the region.
“The regional war will soon enter a new phase,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. “As we said from the very beginning, if the United States makes such a mistake, the situation will become far more complex. Soon, another key strait will face the same fate as the Strait of Hormuz.”
The security source did not offer more details or specify which other “key strait” might next face a de facto blockade.
“Iran’s security and defensive plans are phased and gradual, and we still have many cards left to play,” the official said.

After thousands were killed in a brutal crackdown on anti-regime protests in Iran in January, Mandana gave up hope for reform from within. She came to the conclusion that the Islamic republic’s leaders had to go even if it meant US and Israeli-led regime change.
So when the two countries attacked the compound of supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on February 28, killing him and several of his family members, Mandana — who like others interviewed used a pseudonym — believed the change she coveted had finally come.
Her experience in the terrifying days since has shattered that belief. Air strikes have targeted not just military sites and senior regime figures but have repeatedly hit civilian infrastructure.
Over the weekend, Tehran was enveloped in toxic black smog after Israel bombed fuel depots around the city; on Tuesday, massive explosions caused widespread blackouts.
“We weren’t supposed to be bombed,” Mandana said, her voice trembling after a massive explosion near her apartment by Vanak Square in central Tehran. “Our city, our country, this wasn’t supposed to happen. How is it that Venezuela . . . saw clean, bloodless regime change, but not here?”

The scale of destruction and the apparent resilience of the Islamic regime, which appointed Khamenei’s son Mojtaba as the new supreme leader in an act of defiance, has prompted many Iranians to rethink hopes that foreign intervention might bring about its end.
Approaching two weeks into the war, no signs exist of the sort of anti-regime unrest that broke out across the country in January before being crushed in a brutal crackdown that killed thousands.
Instead many, even those who loathe the Islamic republic, appear to have recoiled at the destruction and comments including Donald Trump’s threat to target electricity production facilities if the regime escalated. The US president also said Iran’s map will “probably not” be the same after the war, sparking fears the conflict could break apart the country.
One sociologist in Tehran, who is critical of the regime and the war, said there was anecdotal evidence of a growing “sense of nationalism emerging from the war” as happened during Israel’s 12-day conflict against Iran last year, when people rallied around the flag.
“The fear of Iran’s destruction is increasingly uniting people as they fear the consequences of such a large-scale conflict,” the sociologist said, asking not to be named.
Non-military sites have become collateral damage, as air strikes target police stations, military facilities and officials living in residential neighbourhoods. More than 1,000 civilians have been killed and over 8,000 homes damaged or destroyed, according to official figures.
The scenes of devastation — to schools, a desalination plant, passenger aircraft and historic landmarks such as Tehran’s Grand Bazaar and Golestan Palace — have shocked many Iranians.
“If they wanted to assassinate the supreme leader, why are they waging full-scale war?” asked one woman. Before the war, she — like many anti-regime Iranians inside and outside the country — had welcomed military intervention.
Expatriate communities staged large rallies in western capitals, calling for an end to the Islamic republic. Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of the late ousted Shah, also supported military action, promising to return to lead Iran once the regime had collapsed.
“Maybe he should come now with his three daughters and see how it feels to be bombarded,” said one woman, who opposes the current regime but also rejects a return to monarchy. “Those who supported the war should take responsibility now. But I doubt they will.”

When many Iranians put aside their disillusionment with their leaders to embrace patriotic gestures during the June war, the regime presented this as proof of public support and ignored calls for reform after the conflict was over.
This time, Iranians — traumatised by the crackdown in January — have been more hesitant, fearing that expressions of patriotism or anti-war sentiment will again be co-opted by the authorities.
In northern Iran, a woman whose son was killed in the protests stopped wearing black the day Khamenei died, feeling that some revenge had been exacted. In Tehran, another woman baked a cake for her neighbours to celebrate the supreme leader’s demise. But she was so shocked by the scale of the subsequent attacks that she later left the city.
The Islamic republic, for its part, is taking no chances. Authorities have filled squares with loyalists each evening, drawing on the vocal minority of regime supporters to project strength and support. They also patrol the streets on motorcycles carrying loudspeakers that blare out religious songs.
“These are our real supporters,” said one regime insider. “This is genuine loyalty, rooted in Shia Islam — something the Americans can never understand. Even if the leader of the Islamic system is killed, the system will survive because Shiism is alive.”

The regime’s apparent resilience in the face of the greatest conflict since the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s has led some to question whether even a prolonged war would bring about its demise.
After Mojtaba was selected as the new supreme leader on Monday, supporters across the country also took to the streets.
But Mojtaba has not been seen since the war started and he is yet to speak to Iranians about his plans. The US and Israel have threatened to assassinate whoever takes over and rumours are rife that he was injured during the war.
His selection has stunned many anti-regime Iranians, who fear a supreme leader who will continue his father’s hardline agenda, resistance to reform and hostility to the west.
“If things stay like this, we’re in a worse place now than before the war,” said Mahboubeh, a translator. “A country destroyed; Khamenei replaced by another Khamenei, 30 years younger.”

Meanwhile, monarchists support Pahlavi and back the US and Israeli intervention despite its toll. But analysts believe the exiled royal may have lost support from more recent converts to his cause as the brutal reality of war sets in.
The majority of Iranians who see the January killings as unforgivable are lost over how to push for change. This includes Sara, a teacher in her forties who once hoped for the regime’s overthrow but now admits she has changed her mind.
“I’ve come to terms with the bitter reality: the Islamic republic is resilient,” she said. “I never thought I’d say this, but if someone from within the regime becomes a real reformer, why not? In the end, we just want peace and welfare.”
Marjan, a housewife, could not hide her emotions when news of Khamenei’s death broke. She had believed it would usher in the regime’s collapse. “Now I wonder, even if the Islamic republic falls, what will we inherit: a land in ruins?”

>Press photographers are no longer permitted to take photos inside the Pentagon press briefing room after several outlets published “unflattering” photos of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, two people familiar with the situation told the Washington Post.

>On March 2, Hegseth held a press conference with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to brief the press on the U.S. and Israel military strikes on Iran that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in February.

>Shortly after, wire service photographers – such as those from the Associated Press, Reuters and Getty Images – published photos of the defense secretary speaking with the media. This is typical for nearly all press conferences held by a government official.

>But afterward, members of Hegseth’s staff reportedly told colleagues they did not like the way the defense secretary looked. In press briefings on March 4 and March 10, photographers were not permitted inside.

>In February 1918, shortly after the Bolsheviks seized power in the Russian Revolution, their Council of People's Commissars repudiated the sovereign debt and other financial obligations of Russia. This position shocked international finance and triggered unanimous condemnation by the governments of the great powers. The British, and especially the French, had lost millions of pounds of foreign investment in Russia.

Another retarded piece of propaganda. Westoid economists long pondered how can economies work not by printing money but by exporting goods, even though progressive Westoids supposedly stepped into the next economic post-industrial age, and so they came up with the idea that countries like China or India have social responsibilities like employment and wages, so they subsidize American and European consumption to provide employment. The fact that exports are profitable is ignored by Westoid economists who'd much rather think that Westoid economies aren't getting hollowed out by having to pay for imports they cannot truthfully afford.

Lebanon: 150 rockets fired in 3 hours towards occupied territories… and the resistance launches "Operation Protective Edge"
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced the launch of "Operation Eaten Straw," amid Israeli reports of a large barrage of rockets fired from Lebanon towards northern settlements.
The Islamic Resistance explained in a statement that, as part of Operation “Eaten Straw”, dozens of missiles targeted settlements that had been previously warned to evacuate within a 5-kilometer radius of the Lebanese-Palestinian border, in response to the criminal Israeli aggression that affected dozens of Lebanese cities and towns, including the southern suburbs of Beirut.

<The resistance added that, as part of the “Eaten Straw” operations, and within the framework of the warning it directed to the settlements of “Kiryat Shmona” and “Nahariya”, they were targeted with rocket barrages.

It also announced that Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the Misgav base and the Yodivat military industries company northeast of the occupied city of Haifa with dozens of missiles.
She also indicated that her fighters targeted the “Ami’ad” base north of Lake Tiberias and the “Shamshon” base west of Lake Tiberias with salvos of high-quality missiles.
It announced that it had targeted the headquarters of the Northern Command of the Israeli occupation army (Dado base) and the “Ein Zeitim” base north of occupied Safed with salvos of qualitative missiles, as well as the Haifa naval base and the Tirat Carmel base in the occupied city of Haifa with salvos of qualitative missiles, within the same series of operations.
The resistance targeted the settlement of "Kiryat Shmona" with a swarm of attack drones and a missile salvo.

<More than 150 rockets in the latest barrage

Israel's Channel 12 reported that more than 150 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards the north in the last three hours.
Israeli media reported that sirens covered the entire coastal strip from Rosh Hanikra to Haifa, and also sounded in several places including Karmiel, Yarka, Kiryat Bialik, Shafa'amr, Haifa, Sakhnin, Acre and Kiryat Yam.
Israeli media also reported that sirens sounded in the Upper Galilee and northern Golan Heights due to fears of drone infiltration.
For its part, Channel 12 quoted senior Israeli officials as saying that there was an indication that the timing of the shooting this time was coordinated between Iran and Hezbollah.

<In the operations announced by the resistance today:

-Targeting the newly established Balat site in southern Lebanon with artillery shells.
-Targeting a gathering of occupation forces south of the city of Khiam twice with a missile salvo.
-Targeting an occupation gathering near the Al-Manara site with a rocket barrage.
-Targeting an occupation gathering at the newly established Markaba site with artillery shells.
-Targeting a gathering of occupation vehicles and soldiers at the Marj site opposite the border town of Markaba with rocket barrages.
-An occupation force was spotted advancing towards the Khanouq area in the border town of Aitaroun, and targeted with rocket barrages.

Iraqi resistance: Any hostile move by Syria towards Lebanon will be a declaration of war on the axis of resistance.
The Islamic Resistance Coordination in Iraq warned the head of the transitional phase in Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, against any hostile move towards Lebanese territory.
In a statement, the coordination committee said, "We warn the so-called Abu Muhammad al-Julani that any hostile move towards Lebanese territory, in coordination with the Zionist-American enemy and under any pretext whatsoever, will be considered a declaration of war on the entire axis of resistance."
The Coordination Committee reminded everyone that "the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, which inflicted misery on the American occupation forces and left the bodies of ISIS members for the wolves of the valleys, is capable of crushing your movement if you get involved in trying to undermine the environment of the resistance or Hezbollah."
She said: "We see the treachery of the new authority in Syria, and we are monitoring the coordination with the enemy," adding: "We say very clearly that if you dare to violate the sovereignty of Lebanon and its patient, resistant people, we will turn your land into an open field of fire, and let him who warns be excused."
The Iraqi coordination statement came after the Syrian Ministry of Defense claimed to have detected Hezbollah reinforcements at the Lebanese-Syrian border, and alleged that the party fired shells towards ministry positions in Serghaya, saying: "We are assessing the situation."

Trump's gonna wait for when Iran gets one of those minor earthquakes, claim its a nuclear test, and then drop a real live nuke on Iran.

IRGC says attacks on US bases will continue
A spokesman for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says major attacks continue against US military bases in the Middle East.
“A large number of American forces have been killed and wounded in attacks on US bases,” said IRGC spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari in an address on state television.
“The Strait of Hormuz is under constant surveillance by our forces. Our enemies have no right to pass through it, and our attacks will continue broadly using missiles and drones. The Islamic Republic is defending its independence, and our victory will be from Allah.”

Trump says he asked generals why US sank Iranian ship near Sri Lanka
Trump has spoken about the US strike on an Iranian warship near Sri Lanka, saying he questioned why the US sank the ship, killing dozens of crew members.
“I said, Why the hell did we kill them? Why did we just capture them and use them in our Navy?” Trump said at a rally in Hebron, Kentucky.
“They said they wouldn’t have qualified for that. But I got a little upset with my people. I said, ‘Why do we have to knock ’em?’ And actually one of my generals said, Sir, it’s a lot more fun,” the US President added.
Trump also appeared to refer to Iranian attacks on ships in or near the Strait of Hormuz, saying “they knocked out 54 ships in two days, and they’re real ships.”

Hezbollah says it fired rockets at Israeli bases
Hezbollah says it launched rockets on several Israeli military sites in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
In a series of statements, the group said it targeted Ami’ad and the Samson base in Israel.
The Israeli army’s Northern Command headquarters, as well as the Ein Zeitim base near Safad, were also targeted, according to the statement.
Hezbollah added that it fired missiles at the Haifa naval base and Carmel airbase in the Israeli city of Haifa.

Kuwaiti air defences intercept hostile missile and drone attacks
The Kuwaiti army has announced that national air defence systems are currently responding to hostile missile and drone attacks.
Military officials have noted that any explosions heard across the country are the direct result of defence systems intercepting these threats.
The army has requested that all citizens and residents strictly adhere to security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities as the situation develops.
